listen i understand not being a fan of some female characters but saying you dont really like any of them in a series that actually does have just as many female characters as male characters and actually gives time and development to them just as much, if not even more that the male characters? its just idk. theres like 50 by now. theres.... a lot to pick from..... its not hard to like and respect female characters?

I am a female. I’m fucking sick of females. But if you really wanna know a few female characters I do like; Crimson, Jen, Lindsay, Kitty, the Geniuses, That one mom with too much botox, and I’m kinda iffy on Scarlet.I said I didn’t like MOST. One of the good things about how they portrayed Mike; His headspace and how the alters live in it. I thought it was really cool that they actually showed how Mike sees his mind, and it gives insight into his character. But even more cool is the scene where they're all playing cards while Mike is fronting. It may seem like a small thing but it's really cool because like, alters don't just constantly do things, at least mine don't. Most of the time they're either watching what's going on to and maybe make a few snide remarks here and there, but other than that they're like anyone else. Sitting quietly until they need to talk. Of course there are some who are more talkative, but I digress. It was just really cool to see something portray alters as they really are. Just people, not godly schizophrenic nightmares.

Wait what since when was MIKE the problematic one in Zoke? 😂 Like boy Zoey literally brushes off the boys mental disorder like its a cute quirk t f. Nah man.

they’re both problematic but at least zoey was realistic idk. last time i checked multiple personality disorder wasn’t really ,,,,, like ,,, that,,,, but yknow. all i know is that zoey deserves better and mike deserves a boyf bc he’s gay lol

Oh yeah Mike definitely deserve a boyf (nice BMC reference btw)!) But as someone with DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder, and Multiple Personality Disorder) I can confidently say TD isn’t the first series to play up the whole thing. But TBH it’s one of the reasons Mike’s my favorite characters. It’s nice seeing a likable, non-villian character with DID (i.e. Split). The main this that irks me about Zoey is that she’s portrayed as perfect and could do no wrong. Also the whole “More Mike to love” line is really kinda fucked up IMO. Like no that’s not more Mike……. They’re different identities………. Just in the host body that Mike primarily fronts in.

it just makes me angry i guess that the ONLY character with a confirmed mental disorder has to be portrayed so unrealistically. like obviously if he’s gonna have that disorder they’ll play it up, every series/movie does. but like. i wish they could have a more realistic mental illness in the show like. if they don’t want depression or something because it’s too sad,,,, they could at least have someone with social anxiety or something??? zoey also like. she’s a SWEETHEART and yes, was a poor character, and i believe she deserves a lot better, as in,, she deserves to be a better, more well developed character, and so does mike. the whole mal thing just makes me so MAD. they could have done so much berter with his character, and as much as i hate zoke, with their relationship. their only relationship troubles are all related to mikes disorder and like. they need to have healthy arguments and other obstacles in their way that ARENT just mike being afraid to tell zoey about his disorder or mike not being able to control his personalities, especially mal. like. idk it just makes me angry when the two characters could have had so much potential

Well if wishes were riches, I’d be Bill Gates, haha! To be honest the least realistic part of Mike’s disorder is the quick, obvious, shifts between alter’s (which I understand is needed in an animated children’s show to show the actual change) and the ‘reset’ button. Like, assimilation (that’s just what we call it, others might call it by a different term) is a thing alter’s can do but it’s not like just pressing a button. But I did think it was cool how varied his alter’s were! They covered many of the common ones you see in people with DID (Opposite Gender with Svetlana, Sexual with Vito, ‘Evil’ with Mal, etc. etc.) which you don’t see a whole lot! Unfortunately I’m not a fan of Zoey (or any female characters on the show sans like… Crimson and Linsay??) and I doubt I’ll get over my ways. At least we can both agree on not liking Zoke in general!

i DID like the differences between his personalities like. not mal but the others. i didn’t particularly like how he was automatically vito when he was without a shirt or same goes for manitoba when he puts on the hat, but for svetlana and chester it seemed to be realistic enough?? i just. i like all characters for different reasons and a lot of them are for the potential they COULD have. i don’t like zoey in season four but in season 5 she was a real sweetie who could have been a REALLY GREAT character if they only developed her more. at least she isn’t over developed like duncan was idk

Yeah Vito and Manitoba were kinda cop outs. But Chester and Svetlana are more than reasonable with their triggers! I could definitely see other triggers being more realistic for Vito and Manitoba (like for Manitoba, something like hiking or being far from civilization). Note for whom it may concern; all DID cases are different and I'm just going of my experiences. And yeah lol I'm so fucking sick of Duncan
