We got the okay to post our pieces for the RWBY Pandemonium artbook! It’s a follow up to the previous book which was about our heroic teams and this time stars the Antagonists and Anti-Heroes that oppose them. 

My two here are Verte the warlock and Lanhua the treasure seeker. I went with a very detailed Mucha vibe with the first and a more simple lineless one with the second to give some contrast.

Some housekeeping

Hello everyone, it’s Jamie (Saffron, Naan and Slate on this blog). I have some housekeeping news, as well as some explanation for the long long LONG absence.

On February 17th I was involved in a pretty substantial car accident. I was admitted to the hospital with just a bump on the head and some pain, but the people who were at the scene and the people who saw pictures of my car after the fact agree that they weren’t really expecting a living person to come out of the wreck.

Even so, I had the accident on a Friday, and went straight to work on Monday, and then by last Saturday I was back in the hospital for a severe anxiety attack. So I’ve been really busy.

I was already inactive on this blog and on tumblr in general due to me being superbly busy with a Student Teaching internship - an internship that I will no longer be pursuing as I take a break in the interest of my physical and mental health.

Fortunately, the good part about all this is that I’ll have a lot more freetime to spend drawing and laying about. So, expect to see a bit more of me around now that I suddenly have more time.

IT’S FINALLY DONE! 

So I am constantly in awe of the creativity of the rwby fandom, and I’ve become a bit obsessed with OC teams. So this is just a little MV I made to give back I guess? I’m a huge nerd and I make nerdy things sometimes.

It took a long time to make this but it was a lot of fun, and I’d love to make another one someday with even more OCs, if there’s any interest. Anyway, I hope you guys like this, I’m so sorry about the shitty quality but my computer physically could not handle rendering it any better, haha…

(So apparently when I watch it on mobile it looks a little off time and it’s REALLY ANNOYING and then when I watch it on my laptop it’s fine? I have no idea what tumblr is doing just take my trash, followers.Cries.)

so like 3 years ago (OR SOMETHING) I tried doing a “greatest fears” anthology, starting with this pic of Saffron, but I never did anything with it - but now I wanted an excuse to draw Slate drowning, so here that is, I guess.

So, tell me more about this Roux individual.

Not much is known about the inner-workings of the so-called “Grimm Brotherhood”. It’s origins seem to trace back to a crude and disturbing manifest, published anonymously after the fall of Mountain Glenn. This haunting proclamation stated that the creatures of Grimm were divine beings, and that humanity’s true state is one of suffering. They hold faunus in high regard, and view huntsmen and huntresses as “dysfunctional relics” and “old tools that need to be discarded”. 

Although dismissed as nothing but radical lunacy, the call resonated with some unfortunate people - who were desperate for a conduit for their grief, it has now evolved into a full-blown religious cult. They have been known to incite peaceful protests into violent riots, and all while claiming to be doing so under the guise of “free speech and expression”.

A common face among rallies and protests is Roux - who seems to be a high-ranking member or even a chapter-leader of the Grimm Brotherhood. She is extremely charismatic, and seems to work as a “recruiter” for the cult - which makes sense to anyone with eyeballs and ears. She is seductive, highly intelligent and charming, and is able to speak about her beliefs in away that makes them very sensible and even agreeable.

In short, be very careful around her and her cult. Don’t get suckered in by that nonsense-
