This is the story of a beautiful friendship which turned into True Love when we finally met each other in person after 2 years. Problem is: one of us is French & the other is Australian... Separated by over 17337 kilometres ( over 10772 miles ) we are currently in a long distance relationship & are doing everything in our power to be reunited... This is a throw back to last December, to a time the weather was warmer and my love had only just come back to Australia & when we couldn't stop smiling... Visa received and bridging visa granted!!! T is staying!!!! All the hard work, late nights, paperwork, pricey certificates,translations and fees were worth it...Fingers & toes crossed that it gets approved and whilst it's far from over - we are SOOOO happy to be together and to be able to live life like 'normal' couples.. So instead of tearful goodbyes at an airport next week we will be waking up tangled in each other's arms, hugs and kisses every chance we can and life as usual when we are together - which thankfully may be forever this way! We are just so happy to be able to ( hopefully) close the distance permanently and to begin our life as just 2 people completely in love, not a ldr...SO HAPPY!!! Let the rest of the waiting game,medical checkups and other visa related things begin...but for now I just want to go to bed and fall asleep listening to the sound of her heartbeat... Up in the air

I don't know how to feel right now...Yesterday we posted our partner visa application after months of stress, paperwork and sleepless nights. I should be relieved, part of me is...but the 'same day courier' didn't get there...the tracking still says 'in transit' and because it's a weekend there is no customer service available to help me till Monday..I have a tracking number so that's a plus...but my beautiful partner has to go back to France in one week unless the department of immigration receives and processes the application for a bridging visa ( we will not find out in a week if she has her visa approved - the waiting time for that is about 15 months) but we need to know they have received the application, processed the payment and 'approved it for approving' if that makes sense. I just feel it's so up in the air and I hate not knowing. I start to tear up every time I think about having to say goodbye again, especially when we put so much work into the visa, let alone pay the very high application fee. She is having a sleep right now next to me as I try to get some work done...she looks so peaceful and beautiful...I want to relax, knowing that she will be here this time next week, not packing to leave but here to stay... She is my everything and to have to go back to saying I love you through screens, being over 17,000 kilometres away from each other... I can't express how much I do not want that. Just had to vent, hopefully in a few days I will have great news...but for now...I can't stop worrying... :-(

ITS DONE....We have done all we can do.. It's now being delivered express courier to the Department of Immigration & Border Protection.....As you can tell by our faces- we are terrified, excited and nervous! The life of an LDR is a hard one and we just want to live our love story under the same roof forever and always! I think the rest of the day will be spent on the tracking app until it arrives.... Happy Anniversary my love.... ❤️ This week will be crazy...and exhausting and stressful and it will fly by ... We send our visa in THIS WEEK!!! After the many tearful goodbyes at the airport & the giddy excited hellos, the hundreds of Skype dates & the countless sleepless nights staring at a vacant piece of the bed where the other should be...We are finally handing in the detailed forms, the expensive certificates, the samples of the many different ways we communicate & paying the crazy expensive fee 🔜 We would have handed it in and then we pray, wish, hope & hold our breath ( not for the whole time - cause the wait can be over a year ) that we never have to say goodbye again! That we can wake up in each other's arms every day...kiss her lips every night & live our life the way so many take for granted.
