A fun holiday project awaits me. Bring on the PTO.
We had a BLAST at BotsKC this year. I was honored to volunteer as a operations testing judge and a competition judge. We will definitely be back next year! This video shows some of the big hits I caught on video from the judge’s table.
Hannah (9) decided to paint a store-bought dragon mask for her Halloween costume this year.
This is a breakdown of a project I recently made for a Happy Halloween video at work (ServoCity.com). I set out to make a project to crush larger sized cans that...
The original small version was made with the parts we make at work :)
Erica Tiberia single-handedly built an autonomous Martian rover that won a NASA contest
Looks like many of the “off the shelf” parts she mentioned are Actobotics which we make at work (RobotZone) :D
Do you need a giant robot claw at the end of your forearm? Of course you do - who doesn't? Ok, so this Halloween/cosplay inspired project may not be the most practical thing I've made but it was definitely fun.
Such an awesome build... then partway through the video, I noticed he used our parts :)
World's smallest Linux server, with Wi-Fi built-in. Building for the Internet of Things doesn't get easier than this!
I am proud to be backing this kickstarter... I cannot wait to get mine :)
I set out to see if I could make a lightweight weed whacker that would be good for urban dwellers with small yards. The end result is 3.3 lbs. and has a top speed of around 9.8k rpm! Most cordless weed whackers I could find are around 9 lbs., and my friend's gas powered weed whacker topped out at 6,500 RPM. I ultimately code named the project FeatherWhip and made a snazzy logo for it 'cause that's how I roll.

Team Jaeger will be going to the KC Maker Faire this weekend!!! In this video from the home page of http://www.makerfairekc.com/ you can see my boss Brian around the 49 second mark :)
So freak’n excited for BattleBots to start tonight!!!
“Makers and builders and doers -- of all ages and backgrounds -- have pushed our country forward, developing creative solutions to important challenges and proving that ordinary Americans are capable of achieving the extraordinary when they have access to the resources they need.” – President Obama
Enjoy the last day of National Week of Making 2016! Go make something awesome!
So recently I came up with an idea… nay, a challenge: to build a robotic rover that drives up a metal surface. I challenged my co-worker Kyle and myself with this goal in the form of a one day build-off. We documented the adventure (our thought process, trials, errors and successes) in our video podcast Control Issues (iTunes, YouTube). You may also recognize this little robot from the current (May/Jun 2016) cover of Robot Magazine. This article takes our best working model and shows you how to build one yourself with off-the-shelf parts.
So excited to get on the home page of instructables.com and on the cover of Robot Magazine with this project :)
Finding weird stuff like this is yet another reason I love working at RobotZone
So excited to get my first ever 3d printer today! The MOD-T from New Matter is a beautiful device.
