Letterpress Team Charter (Pt 1)
What is a team charter? A team charter is a document that is developed in a group setting that clarifies team direction and boundaries, and acts as a source for the team to illustrate focus and direction. Team purpose: The purpose of working as a team throughout this unit is to enable each team member to develop and expand their creative thinking skills. Working as a team should be beneficial for each member as it allows for more ideas and better results as new perspectives and teamwork skills are introduced. In the workplace you will have to be able to work with other people and clients in a teamwork setting in order to be able to achieve the desired end results. An acceptable end result will be for each member of the team to benefit from this unit, gaining new skills and knowledge of teamwork and communication. Duration and time commitment: Each team member should be aiming to communicate with the team every week during the six week time fame that we’ve been given. This includes checking in with the team, ensuring that everyone is effectively working together and is on the right path. Scope: The scope defines the beginning to the end of the spectrum that we have been given so tasks are easily identified. Therefore here is the scope for each week during the six week time frame we have been given: Week 1: During this week teams have been assigned, and all members of the team should be considering who wants to be the team leader. The project planning timeline should be started, (this includes the roles and obligations of the team members, project management and collaboration of tasks, roles and dates so tasks can be added once they are worked out). Ethical framework should be established (It should reflect the size and complexity of the team project. It will further define the ways in which the attitude and behaviour in which all members of the team will operate.) Lastly the team charter should be developed in a way that responds to the team project, along with the teams tumblr blog. Week 2: During this week all team members should be collaborating on the team project, this includes determining the design topic and continuing progress on the team charter, ethical framework, project timeline and the assessment task. To help each member this week provides a tutorial on how to create GIFs. Week 3: Further continue working on team project. By this stage each team member should have a clear idea of the direction they should be heading in and the assessments they have been given. We should have our communication process established with effective communication from each team member. Week 4: Continue working on team project. Week 5: Continue to work on team project.
