Ayesha was in the car with Aryan, they were half way to his house. âSo? Love , whatâs going on in life?â Aryan asked casually, not like he was a flirt but this was his way to talk.

Let me tell you a story. I was always a tomboy girl, not interested in any boy or I tried not to beâŚI didnât want 2 b girly, I liked handsome men, celebs, but I always spoke shit about them to defend myself. I hated dolls and pink which was the reason of Me being sent to an all girls school.
At, like, 15 I thought that I was a lesboâŚI told this to my best friend. She was shocked and so was I when she broke our 5 year old friendship!!! She might have told this to everyone for I was left all by myself during lunch break.
And those who were my friends treated me differently. During all this time I met a guy who soon became my best friend and then boyfriend [weâre still together :)] . Now that I had a boyfriendâŚeverybody, who left me, became my friends again *sarcastic giggle*
So hereâs my conclusion. Girls feel insecure in the company of a girl WHO IS ATTRACTED TO GIRLS. but not in the company of a boy WHO IS ATTRACTED TO GIRLS.

Kiya
Kiya sat beside Suresh on his hospital bet. She was stroking his hair. She loved him. She would do anything for him, she thought. And then she smiled at the thought of how they first met. It was the first day if her college and she was late. She asked anyone and everyone she could about where in hell was this class written on that small piece of paper. Ok so she was directed to this corridor and now she was blank again about where else she has to go now...she saw a few people there, so she approached one of the guys who was leaning against the wall in front if her, smoking. She hated people who smoked...but anyways she asked him, after all it was just about giving directions, "excuse me?" He looked up. God he was beautiful, she thought. "Can.you tell me where can I find this class, I'm really confused!" She finally asked after staring him for a few seconds. She waited for.him to answer but there was no reply. "?" No answer. She waved a hand in front of him. And he was back. He blinked a few times and then said "you.are soounlucky" "What ??? Why , what on earth are you saying?? What do you mea-" She couldn't finish, he took her hand and staring running and so.did she...they might have come a thousand turns but she didn't notice, she just looked a him blankly, trying to understand what's happening? And then he stopped, and so did she. There was la class in front of him and an really dangerous looking professor coming. "You're dead. " he said without looking at her. Thank god that the professor was approached by someone else and they had time to get in and so they did. He grabbed a seat and sat there with her. "What was this?" She asked zoned out already. "Thanks" was all he said before the professor entered and the whole room went silent. After all that boring lecture when the class ended. She asked him again, and that's when he spoke..."you see I totally forgot about this class, and Mr Dalmia, the professor hates me, and there this indirect war between us and currently I'm winning" he smiled after finishing, now she understood why the professor gared at.him every 5 min. Well that day, he helped her a lot, and they.both were each others first genuine friends, for kiya it was because she was new and for Suresh it was because he never really liked people or maybe visa versa. She brought out his true self to.the world and converted his bad reputation into a good one and also she made him leave his smoking habit. And she knew she loves him. It was her who.proposed first. She was in love. And so.was he, or maybe he wasn't sure, he feared that he might hurt her and so he didn't reject her...but as time went he discover his love for her and he knew he truly loved her and decide that he would proper her like for real...he would have done it, if only that car accident didn't happen.
Chapter 4 - [iii]
She remembered what happened that day, when she saw them for the last time. Suresh was faking it, leukaemia. But she fell for it. He wanted her to come to his house the day after. And she did. She went there, she went to his room where she expected to see him not what actually she saw. Pari and Kabir were making out and for God's sake they didn't even realise her presence there! That moment, it was the worst moment of her life. She didn't know what her feelings were, she hated pari , there was hatred, then there was this sense of betrayal...all kinds of feelings were there- anger,hatred, betrayed, sadness,agony. She was too hurt that she knew tears won't be enough and she didn't cry, she couldnât...she was frozen there. All this happened within a minute and what happened after, she want aware of, for she closed the door behind her and then went away....forever. And here she was again, she sighed. She soon realised she was staring kabir and he was quite uneasy on that position, so she quickly looked away. She mumbled a sorry and maybe he heard that because he was about to say something when her phone rang. "Are you effing kidding me!" She smiled at that, Aryan, she thought...she loved how he just didn't use the f-word and said effing instead. She didn't speak. "You were supposed to be helping me and you're out somewhere. I went to your flat and had to see that idiot's face before starting my project! !! I already have bad luck over my head and if I did this alone then in surely going to fail!!!" He continued, " you told me that you would help me with this last Thursday " "last Thursday? You sure?" She asked in tone that said 'you're forgetting it mr not me' "Okay last to last Thursday " "Yeah? "Fine, last month's last Thursday, happy " "Umm" "You said you would help me" ayesha could imagine his pout at that one. "But I'm at this hospital, came to see my " she hesitated a bit, "-- friend? " ayesha could feel kabir's gaze at her. "Oh...is your friend okay, do they need you" "Yes he's okay and it's fine here...without me" again she could feel it. "So you're coming " "I don't have my ca--" "I'm coming " And he hung up. Then exactly after 23 seconds he called again. "Okay, so what's the address, again?"
Chapter 4 - [ii]
It had been four days to that incident and ayesha, since then, had not met anyone of them. There were a thousand missed calls and messages put she just ignored them. Her parents were anxious about her.
She was having her breakfast when her phone rang leaving the spoon of cereals and milk in the air as she looked over to the caller id.
Unknown number.
She put that spoon down which, I may add, had hardly anything left.
âYes?â She attended the call. She couldnât ignore it. It might be some offer from a college.
âAyesha?â She recognised the voice, it was priya.
She let out a sigh and replied, why should she break her friendship with priya because of that bi*ch pari, she thoughtâŚfor the first time in life she sweared and it felt worth it to her.
âPriya, Iâm in no mooââ priya cut her off mid sentence saying, âlisten, Suresh wants to meet you, heâs admitted in a hospital, he wonât wat without seeing you.â
That brought her back to present. She was sitting outside Sureshâs room while kiya was in there. She looked at the ceilingâŚit was high and had tube lights on each side, a lot of them along the side of the ceiling separated by a little space.
For that moment, it was probably the most fascinating thing on the world. Then kabir sat down beside her.
âSo youâre living in with him?â He started. It took ayesha some time to realise he was talking about abhi. She totally forgot about abhi.
She nodded her head and then looked down at him. This was enough to take her back to flashback.
That day she went to see Suresh. All he had to say was forgive pari, donât leave us, Iâm apologising in pari âs behalf. Ayesha didnât want to listen to it. Then he said something that brought ayeshaâs attention to him with a tinge if suprise,
"I have leukaemia. "
Chapter 4
3 years ago a similar accident happened, which changed their lives forever.
It was dusk already, ayesha thought. They should leave, Kabir and her. ayesha went downstairs where there was loud music some people lying on the floor and some dancing, her frnds were among the dancing ones.
All of them were drunk, Priya, Suresh, Pari and Kabir. That day was their first day after school ended and they were celebrating!
She looked for Kabir in that wild crowd but there was sign of him there.
She found Pari dancing and went to her, she didnât know where kabir was. But she signaled Ayesha stating that she wait for 2 min.
She went up in the small stage, they had and too the Mike. âHello everyone. â she started in a drunk tone, âthis here is my friend Ayeshaâ pointing towards her.
âSheâŚis a champion.â She clapped after saying that. Everyone was looking at her, a questioning look on their faces.
Kabir came forward of the crowd, and asked her what she was doing. She just gave her a flying kiss and continued, âdo you know our champion still sleeps with a teddy bear?â
What?????
She waited for them to cheer. Someone from the back suddenly said boo, âyeah, thatâs betterâ
âShe has never, ever, ever kissed a guy! â she added, â because, she never dated anyone, because, no one ever asked her out.â She said emphasizing the âbecauseâ.
âTo top it all, she has never ever, even tasted beer!â
At that point, everyone started saying boo boo in unison. Ayesha was blank, tears building up on her eyes. What had Pari done?
Just then a guy pushed her on her one shoulder, to make her face him, which she did and said, âyouâre such a loserâ his breath stunk.
She couldnât hold anymore. She stormed out of the club with tears flowing over her cheeks, which usually went red almost always Leith happiness, excitement or nervousness but never because of sadness.

Chapter 3
All of them, that is Ayesha, Abhi, Kabir and Kiya were sitting in the living room, they called it soâŚit was small as hell. So anyways, kiya told them everything, how kabir and Suresh accidently met somewhere and how they spent almost all night together in some bar, how Suresh got too drunk to drive, and how it was decided that kabir would drive but then Suresh was too drunk to let him drive properly and how kabir left for sometime to buy something and how a carâŚcrashed into Sureshâs and then how he ended up in hospital. And also how she and Suresh were dating and weâre so happy in life and how they did not needed anyone else but shr cannot see Suresh in that condition was obliged to get her. and That seem quite rude to abhi even though it want in and tone of that sort but it did and it was meant to aswell. He just sat there listening to them. He knew that kabir and Kiya didnât like his presence. But he didnât care, he never really did. Now coming to that rude comment of Kiyaâs, ayesha immediately replied clearing the matter, â no, no we were just friends, alwaysâŚhe was one of my best friendâ âI never really was in any relationship with anyone,âŚeverâ she added emphasising ever, and while she spoke that see stole a glance at kabir who was looking as if it was the only aim of his life. And at that time, there eyes locked, it was Ayesha to pull back. Abhi noticed all of this, he felt uncomfortable, very uncomfortable. âWeâll comeâ he said. â no, you have to come now, with usâ Kiya spoke for the first time to Abhi. âSo Iâll stay here, I guessâ abhi said sighing after staring her for a few seconds. Ayesha just nodded. âIâll just change and come backâ she was after all in her pjs. _____ Ayesha sat right beside the bed where Suresh was, he was sleeping. Ayesha just sat there trying to cheer herself up by recalling what happened with abhi but whenever she thought of him, Kabir kept coming in his mind. God! He doesnât even leave her in her dreams. She hated him, or at least that was what she thought, what she wanted to think. Just then, Suresh woke up. He was bewildered to see ayesha there. His eyes were asking her so she answered before he could open his mouth to say anything. "Kiya told me, you were saying my name in the sleep and not eating without me and stuff" "Did I?" "Yes" she was quite hurt by this. "No, it's ok, you're here" There was silence for sometime which felt like ages...then Suru broke the silence. "Do you know, pari came back"

A lot of things were going through abhiâs mind. Right then, there was a scream which urged abhi to come out of his thoughts.
It was ayesha. He looked for her everywhere, where was she? Why did she scream? What happened for Godâs sake??? These were all the questions running through his head.
âAbhi!!!!!â Exclaimed Ayesha. It was coming from the washroom. Abhi rushed to go there. He saw ayesha up on the counter looking horrifically down which was kinda weird.
It was a coackroach! Obviously, I wouldâve guessed it thought abhi. He turned around to go away but ayesha stopped him.
âCanât you even shoo thar thing away!!!???â ayesha asked in a tone as if it was soo obvious, I mean whatâs the point of him being a guy? And Abhi ignored that and started to move away , then again, âwhat kind of a man you are???â By saying this ayesha did just the worst thing ever.
He turned around, bent down and picked up the coackroach, literally. And put it right beside ayesha.
This was the first time ayesha saw a smile on his face, er sort of, he had a smirk on his face. He folded his hands and just watched.
Ayesha gave him a disgusted look. The coackroach was huge, about quarter the size of your thumb. It was coming closer.
As it came closer, ayeshaâs expressions changed and the last one was that, pleading abhi to save her from a coackroach which was so huge, about the size of quarter your thumb.
She saw abhi shrug and the next thing she could feel was two hands around her waist. She looked up at him, he was looking directly at her, abhi picked her up. Their eyes were still locked together.
It was the doorbell that broke them apart bringing them back from heaven to the earth. For some time they just stood still trying to recall what and why did this happen?? Then it was the second doorbell that did this one.
Ayesha rushed to open the door and when se did, she didnât expected or wanted to see this, to see him. To seeâŚKabir.
Abhi watched from behind it was that guy looking for ayesha and then there was his former and last best friend looking everywhere to avoid him.
Ayesha was frozen and abhi could see this , so he decided to do âwelcomeâ the guests.
âYes?â He asked the guy he was totally in the mood of ignoring kiya as well but he did look at her once and she looked broken and really upset. One could tell she was just about to cry.
Kabir cleared his throat and looked over to ayesha, who still was not in any mood of listening to them and then back to abhi.
He opened his mouth to sat something but then suddenly kiya cut him off even before finishing a single word and said, âAyesha, Suresh needs you! Please come back heâs in a hospital, !!â Kiya pleaded crying.
Kabir covered up by saying,â If you donât like me, fine buy please donât ruin everything, I wonât talk to you or even be there but please come".
Abhi looked over to ayesha, she had tears in her eyes, she probably wasnât even spying attention to anything they said. âAyeshaâ abhi said, ayesha was quite starled at that but she was sure about something, âIâm comingâ she said.

âOuch!â Now that was ayeshaâs reaction when she hurt her hand while she was going through all her school-days stuff. She looked for the thing that caused this.
It was a photo frame, there were many. There was her in all the photos and she were hilarious in them but then there was this guy as well who currently she hated the most.
Kabir, was your typical cool campus guy having all the girls by his side, or maybe not all. Ayesha hated him , you know bcoz of him being the âtypical cool campus guyâ but that soon changed into friendship, best friendship.
And now she was here, hating him again. Just then the door bell rang bringing her back from her thoughts.
âHeyâ abhi said coming in with that usual expression which he almost always had, angry, determined, serious or whatever. He was like that ordinary villain but just way way too handsome. But he wasnât like that, deep inside he was good and happy. Deep deep deep down.
âHiâ ayesha replied. Abhi went directly to his room and banged closed the door.
That was all they ever talked. Rarely was it, they had a proper conversation except the day they decided to live together. Not anything like thatâŚit was because, they had to live together. College.
So the story is ayesha was living here in Delhi alone, cause her family was from Mumbai. She couldnât spend much in rent so she went for a cheap one andâŚ.voila she had to share the flat with Abhimanyu.
Abhi was born in Delhi, he lived there. But he had no one to be with. He took care of himself after his uncleâs death.
Apparently they both are in the same college.
Abhi sat on the bed tryng to get everything that just happened in his head, who was the guy and why was he looking for ayesha. That was okay but why on earth was kiya doing with him??
Kiya was his best friend when he was in school. But after his uncleâs death he stepped out of everything, he broke his contact with everyone.
Fine. Maybe kiya was dating the guy but why did she ignored him?
