One of the last messages I got from my sister in Iran before she went dark. It's In Persian of course. Translation: "I mean, here, we all go to sleep every night thinking war might break out tonight, and then I’m over here thinking about how I need to finish S.T.A.L.K.E.R. faster 😂😂😭😭" I haven't heard from them since last night (I'm losing my mind, rightfully) and I really hope they're fine (and she's playing stalker). just a clarification for people who are not well in on what's going on in Iran right now: Yes US and Israel have just attacked Iran, but that's not what I'm afraid of. I'm afraid of the asshole regime that has no fear to use the civilians as a human shield, It has killed the people of Iran when there was no military intervention from any other country and it will continue to do so even when there is one. because think about it, your country under attack and the first thing you do, is to cut off all communication??!!???!?!? woah.

Picked up “thus spake Zarathustra” because I figured out the concept of Noontide comes from this book. And girl. I’m in for a treat (and by treat I mean my cursed imagination turning the dialogues from the the book like stuff Faust would say).

I like to think Strider read the book because he’d heard it talks about *how to become a better human* and we all know that this man has this exact goal in mind. Kind of bittersweet.

Hello folks.

I’m writing here after two years.

A lot has changed, but a lot has also stayed the same. It is true that I’ve missed Tumblr; I am back to post art again and to finally talk about the things I’ve been silent about: about my country, Iran, and about what the past month has been like for my people.

I am away from home and my family, and have been for almost two years now. I miss them so dearly and deeply that it just hurts to describe.

The reasons for my inactivity over these last two years are unimportant, mostly just work, uni, and my terrible mental health. But I have managed to change things for the better, and I want them to stay that way, despite everything.

Being Iranian feels so lonely. I don't know… I’m just here to add my voice and be with my people.

I don’t want to justify anything, but the reason I didn’t come back during the height of the protests and massacres in January was that I was mentally too fucked up. Do I feel ashamed? Absolutely. But I figured that now that I’m able, and since I have this little space of my own, I am going to be here. I want people to know that if they like my art, it comes with my political identity. It comes from an Iranian person, with all the pain and dreams and rage that is in her heart. My art, even when it's just video game fandom stuff, is political, after all.

Special thanks to the Ukrainian people here on Tumblr. Thank you for your support, those of you who encouraged me to come back because silence helps no one and nothing.

Send help I'm being invested in a crackship I made up for funsies!!! Clickbait title: Neloth/Miraak fic happening?!!?!

just a quick note: Neloth's character is more firmly established. Miraak, though, he's more of a blank sheet. Yes, we know he sends his cultists after you, steals your dragon souls, etc, etc. The lore describes him as power-hungry and arrogant, sure, but who can guarantee that he will remain like that after all those years of imprisonment? (fight me, I'm a Miraak apologist) Now, I just said all those just to get here. And to inform you that I actually do have a few ideas (and something just barely resembling a plot) about this whole ship dynamic. I can't promise anything yet BUT the SCF (sunk-cost fallacy) has already crept in, and these two old men are living in my brain cells rent-free.

Okay, but I am once again listening.

Yes, I totally agree that Miraak is much more of a blank slate than someone like Neloth, who has a very strong personality right out the gate. I have seen SO many takes on Miraak and I've loved equal and opposite interpretations at times. A penance-driven Miraak who is recovering from the trauma of Apocrypha and attempting to set right his wrongs. A power-hungry Miraak who has to learn how to be mortal again through his own failures. A defeated Miraak who is at war with himself, loathing the dragon inside him and seeking new forms of power.

Miraak is SO flexible as a character, and I have yet to really get my paws on him (but I'm trying! with my fic Ex Oblivione. But we've got a long ways to go).

So I support you WHOLEHEARTEDLY. I think it could really work, and I'm here to be the little devil on your shoulder chanting write, write, Write, WRITE!

Just to elaborate why I came up with MiraakxNeloth and offer my two cents:

So basically I think It's the perfect old man yaoi toxic crackship relationship. Miraak considers Neloth the person that helped save him from his abuser (i.e. Herma Mora) ( also I'm making sure the Dragonborn's role in this is minimum or positively non-existent). Neloth probably (or definitly) hates Miraak or simply doesn't care about him, and wouldn't lose a single opportunity to abuse him in any possible way (like as a test subject, right?). Miraak, on the other hand, doesn't mind any of it (because that's just how I view him as a character, once he puts all the tough-act-in-apocrypha behind him, he becomes pretty meek). What ensues is a toxic relationship where Neloth exploits Miraak's devotedness and just offers bare minimum. Miraak, of course, gladly takes it and is grateful because surprise surprise, being forced to the abusive relationship with herma mora he probably doesn't know how relationships work and thinks that the bare minimum offered by Neloth is Love and Devotion TM.

Of course things aren't going to stay like that, Neloth, hopefully, is going to see the error of his ways and come to actually love Miraak (I know, I know, it sounds practically impossible) and Miraak is going to get the love he deserves. Perhaps.

Idk. It's just silly stuff in my head after all. Feel free to cringe. Hehe.

if anyone's wondering why i'm not doing skyrim (miraakxneloth) art anymore, it's because my skyrim got deleted ALONG WITH ALL MY RECENT SCREENSHOTS. and I'm very upset about it (it was my own fault T_T ). but knowing myself I'm probably going to start playing it again. just not anytime soon.
