LOL i know the class is over but.. what do you think?
This is my final mock-up. I tried to incorporate the icons into this site. Even though I tried to make the concepts more Retro but failed. That's how I feel. I used the same fonts that was used on the icons and also try to stick with the same colours that are on the icon.
This is my second mock-up. I just flipped the colours as my mock-up 1 and remove some headings off the page.
So I have changed a little things for this retro icons, instead of making 6; I created 4. It ties into my mission statement which I expressed 4 keys words that described of my self
this will be my home page.
i didn't like the personal logo i had created last semester
so from here going forward, i will be using this one
thoughts? comments?
although this website isn't created in adobe muse. it still has the same look and feel that i would like to go for.
i personally think the overall layout of this site works, the only thing i would change is the navigation on top.

i know im slightly behind with this final project, but i have been looking for some inspiration for my portfolio website.
this is one of the sites that i came across. "hello monday" the part that i like on this site is the contact page. although i will be the other one on the contact page, i like how this one is structured. the navigation could use a bit of work though.

Here is another mockup. Larry, I have added my portfolio pieces to the portfolio section instead of leaving it blank this time.
At the moment, I am leaning more towards this layout rather than using an accordion style w/ parallax scrolling effects
Any thoughts on this layout?
Another mockup. Somewhat similar to my previous mockup.
Thoughts???
"A careful, organized, detail-gathering phase is always step one." In my opinion, I would have to say that my groups water campaign ALMOST blew up because of how we went through the first few phases. We didn't think through our concepts in full detail and all we wanted to do was jump straight into the design. After coming up with a whole new idea during week 5, I can say our campaign is much stronger now that we thought through idea more.
thynguyennn, new Korean place just opened up across from OCAD, what do you think?
just saw this now-- I am cringing.. whats up with that scroll under the party tray menu? I guess they did a nice job with using a grid for the organization of the images.. hah

Very nice site created in Muse. Check-out their portfolio very clean and organize. The site is in German so you need to change the translate to English.

I know I said my site will be a retro style... clearly this is a flop. Even though I created retro icons doesn't mean I can't use it for other assignment or sites. But i'll try to add the icons into my second and third mock-ups.
MOCK-UP 1
Pic 1: Top page is the splash page. I used a quote to reflect of how designing things can be simple but hard to put it out on screen. Another words you have an idea in your mind but its difficult to create it. Section 2 will be a slideshow of my work.
Pic 2: Section 3 is the mission statement with my cartoon picture (parallax scrolling) that i created. And with along my software experience stats (parallax scrolling) and a button to download my pdf resume. Section 4 is the portfolio work which will be rollovers and able to click front/back buttons to see my work. Once you clicked the rollover, a screen will appear on the page which you can look at each work with a provided descriptions (problem/solution solutions) that talks about the work.
Pic 3: Section 5 is the sketches, this applies the same as the portfolio page. And in Section 6 will be my contact page. If a person needs a graphic designer they would fill out information and click send. On the bottom of the page will be the social media such as Facebook, Behance, and Tumblr and also Odesk.com
Every time you scroll down the page the navigation will be moving.
I replicated this site to my resume, 3D leave behind and portfolio spreads that I did last semester. I used the same fonts and colour but just made it more exciting.
ANYWHO, WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK???
Thy & Stefan: Thanks that you liked it.
Jeff: I'll take that consideration. Thanks.
Larry: Well Larry, I tried to make the style more Retro but never figured it out of how I can do it. I tried so many ways and I also looked at other designers work of how they did it. I didn't want to change my previous logo because it actually suits my concepts for mock-up 1 and the style I designed last semester. That's why I said it was a flop. But i'm trying to put the retro icons into my mock up 3... right now i'm just figuring it out and also looking at references that i posted up last 3 weeks ago (research).
First mockup concept.
I tried going for a minimal approach. The layout will be readjusted if I were to use this mockup. More stuff can be added to the About and Contact section and parallax scrolling can be implemented into the design.
The navigation bar will slide into position when the user scrolls up or down and I've decided to add the navi to every page for visual purposes only.
What do you guys think??
