Currently On Indefinite Hiatus

Sorry for the lack of progress and activity on this blog. My focus right now is finishing my stories and maybe writing a book or two if I can manage. 

Between work, real-life, and writing, I just really don’t have the time, energy or inclination to role-play right now. Hopefully that will change at some point in the near future; in the mean time feel free to head over to my writing blog to see what I’m cooking up.

as weird as that sounds, I have to put a disclaimer about this because you have no idea on how many passing messages and comments I’ve seen of people asking or thinking that the nightlight animatronics are canon fnaf characters to the fnaf story. Guys, even though I’d totally love to, I don’t work and do art for scott. I’m just a gal who wants to make my own version of the fnaf crew, nothing is canon. I’m just putting it there cause I don’t wanna mislead people :)

October Obsession

So~! Quick status update: this blog isn’t dead, and neither am I. Far from it actually! I’ve honestly never felt better in the last four, five years. Thing is I’m currently fixating on getting as much as I can written up for an original story called Jonathan’s Hair-Raising Halloween Adventure. Still on chapter two, and it’s a lot longer than I expected; mainly because I’m hitting my stride and pouring a lot more of myself in to it than chapter one, and more happens in chapter two and the subsequent chapters anyways. 

I’ll throw a link up to my writing tumblr blog, twitter, and free-to-read patreon pages when I have more chapters completed; though I might hold off on sharing till the stories done and edited, whenever that will be. Probably not this Halloween, as I’d hoped.

I will try to resume responding to rp threads I owe and maaaaaybe starting one or two new ones with any willing comers once Octobers over, assuming I remember and I’m not still tied up with writing story-chapters. Thank you to my long-time friends and rp-partners for being so patient and lovely, and likewise thanks to everyone still watching this blog. Sorry for the lack of activity~!

We didn’t start this war internet users have with ads - We might have moaned about banner ads, but it was only when they started making noises when we might be listening to music or a podcast or whatever, causing two sound sorces at once, that we started trying to block ads universally rather than just a specific type of ad (pop ups).

And since then ads have gotten worse - Actual malware rather than merely breaking one of the fundamental sins of web design - though shalt not autoplay anything with sound. And the more aggressive a website is with ‘please turn off adblock’ the less I trust it to bother to vet ads and advertisers to make sure they’re not installing malware.

Not to mention that the idea that avoiding ads is “freeloading” is hilariously backward. Advertisement is a transaction between the platform and the advertiser, the user has no obligation to provide the views/clicks the platform has promised. Using an adblocker isn’t freeloading in the same way that leaving the room to get a snack during a commercial break isn’t cheating the tv network.

Ok y’all, I work as a web developer and I’m here to tell you that you are 100% right and that it’s shit. SO I’m going to tell you how to get around websites that block you from using their website if you’re using an adblocker. 

Every website uses a language called JavaScript; long story short it’s a website language that allows developers to do the crazy shit you see on websites. Now the easiest thing to do is to disable JavaScript to stop them from knowing you have an adblocker:

Oh no! I’m blocked from viewing the website. It would be a terrible shame if I were able to right click and select the “inspect” feature

Click the three dots in the top right and open the “Settings” Menu

And then scrolled down to “Debugger” and checked the “Disable Javascript Option”

And then just refreshed the page
