Are you tired of paying high labour costs to remove your fuel tank? Well, today we’re going to show you how to do it yourself at home.
First, make sure you gather all the necessary tools: a jack, jack stands, wrenches, and safety goggles. Safety is your top priority, so let’s get started!
Begin by disconnecting the negative battery cable to prevent any electrical issues. Next, drain the fuel tank completely. You can use a siphon pump for this step. Remember to work in a well-ventilated area to avoid fumes.
Once the tank is empty, lift the vehicle with the jack and secure it with jack stands. Now, locate the fuel tank straps and remove the bolts holding them in place. Don’t forget to disconnect any fuel lines and electrical connectors attached to the tank.
With everything disconnected, carefully lower the tank and slide it out from under the vehicle. And there you have it! Removing your fuel tank at home is not only easy, but it can also save you money.
