tips for regressors with periods!
keep your socks on, little one!
our feet are our temperature regulators! if your feet are warm, your body will be much warmer <3 being warm relaxes our muscles and promotes blood flow to lessen any pain!
try to sleep in a better position!
clutch a stuffie to your chest and sleep in the fetal position to reduce pressure on your back! or you can try to loaf like a kitty cat with a pillow under your chest and stomach!
drink warm beverages!
warm water is always a go-to, but there are yummier options too!
you can try ginger/chamomile/raspberry leaf tea (add honey to sweeten) if you like, or some warm angel milk <3 you can add a little bit of tumeric to your angel milk with a dash of cinnamon and the tiniest bit of black pepper to activate it (no, you can't taste the pepper! trust me!)
oh, and this is the perfect time to drink some hot chocolate as well! (try out dark chocolate if it isn't too bitter for you!)
please eat your fruits and veggies!
carrots, oranges, apples, mangoes, broccoli, spinach, sweet potatoes, beans, peas, and lentils are some good options to incorporate into your diet! try making a yummy smoothie or adding a new veggie to your dinners <3
use a heating pad (be careful)!
you can use an electric one if you have one, but here are some more afforadable options:
- use a hot water bottle or thermos
- make a small pouch out of fabric and make sure the ends are fully glued/sewn shut! fill it with uncooked rice and secure the last opening. warm it up in the microwave for about a minute and boom! a reusuable heating pad <3
- dampen a washcloth and put it in a plastic bag. warm it in the microwave for thirty seconds and use it on top of a blanket or your shirt if it's thick enough!
- (last resort option) my laptop gets really hot when i play the sims because i have sooo many mods hehe, but i just make sure there's a barrier between my skin and the laptop and it works as a heating pad! plus, i get to play my games comfortably
overnight pads and period diapers!
i know many people dislike overnight pads because of how bulky they are, but they are a good alternative if you don't have access to or dislike diapers! they are mostly mess free and you don't have to get up often in the middle of the night! they are also really comforting if you like a little bit of padding when regressed.
period diapers are always a good option! they can be worn under flowy skirts and dresses and aren't as noticeable as other types of diapers! they are really comfy too!
warm baths!
bring in your favorite toys, your bubbliest soaps, and your favorite tunes! just make sure your bathwater isn't too hot, okay? i recommend adding a little bit of coconut oil into the water to make your skin super soft!
if you are experiencing dry skin or have eczema, try an oat bath! you can use a food processor to ground up oats so they dissolve in the water, or you can pack some oats into a clean sock/tights, tie off the end, and let it soak in the water!

⭐ – it's okay to feel sad when regressing. it's okay to feel angry when regressing
⭐ – it's okay to feel overwhelmed when regressing. if you're struggling, it's okay to ask someone for help
caregiver who understands you didn’t grow up in a soft home... so when you flinch at small things, or go quiet, or expect to be yelled at. they gently reassure you. “hey… you’re okay. no one’s mad at you” they notice the way you brace yourself, the way you over-explain, the way you feel like you have to earn kindness. and instead of feeding into it, they gently undo it. reminding you to take your time, speaking to you calmly, never raising their voice. they’re patient when you get scared of things that “shouldn’t” be scary. and when it all feels too heavy, they pull you close, steady and warm. “you don’t have to live like that anymore… you’re safe with me” the kind of caregiver who doesn’t rush your healing, just stays with you forever and tells you that everything is okay. 🥺💓✨

~ baby or toddler regressor
~ does not like to share, likes to show off his toys/stuffies/gear but does not let anyone touch them (except whizzer as long as he asks first)
~ doesn't like deco pacis but likes a mostly plain one with a simple design on the button
~ has to have plastic or metal bottles and sippy cups because he will throw or drop them
~ fusses if whizzer tries to put him in anything except sweatshirts and soft athletic shorts when he's in toddler headspace or soft onesies when he's in baby headspace
~ loves to play chess but makes up his own rules and brings in his other toys and stuffies and makes up what moves and powers they have so he always wins
~ when he's in a baby headspace he has a chess set with big soft pieces and a soft mat instead of his usual chess set and board (idk if this actually exists but I'm imagining like big plush or foam pieces and a cloth mat that you can lay on the floor)
~ clingy baby !!! needs to have someone with him at all times or he gets lonley, prefers whizzer to be with him but loves when he gets the chance to see everyone else
~ whizzer = dada/אבאל'ה (daddy [abbalah]), cordelia = auntie/delia, charlotte = titi/דודה (aunt [dodah]), mendel = דוד (uncle [dod]), trina = אמא (mom [ima])/sissy
~ cordelia and trina are both flips and marvin loves when they're small too so he has playmates
~ has big bursts of energy where he wants to run around and play on playgrounds (loves to go down the slides) and then gets v sleepy and usually has to be carried back to take a nap
~ fully refuses to walk when he's sleepy, will whine and make grabby hands until someone picks him up
~ touch starved baby, always wants cuddles and loves being rocked to sleep in someone's arms
~ big yapper when you bring up his interests, when he's on the older side of his regression he'll excitedly explain everything he can think of
~ when he's on the younger side he's v talkative but it's mostly him emphatically babbling while showing off related toys, stuffies, and books
~ soooo fidgety, always playing with the hem of his shirt, whizzer's sleeves/fingers/hair, chewing on teethers, bouncing on the balls of his feet, ect
~ has one specific stuffy that he's had since he was a little kid and refuses to be away from them when he's small (i think it's a well loved lamb stuffy)
~ sunburns so easily so whenever he goes out in the summer his cg slathers him in sunscreen and plops a wide brimmed hat on his head, he squirms so much when getting sunscreen applied and always ends up taking the hat off and throwing it somewhere
~ looooves the little baby snacks, like the baby puffs and the fruity yogurt melts
~ loves purim because he loves poppy seed hamantashen (this is v much me projecting bc poppy seed is the best flavor but everyone hates on them) but the groggers are v loud so whizzer always brings ear defenders for him
~ he always dresses up as something v obscure for purim, so everyone's like "wow aren't you a cute...." before trailing off trying to figure out his costume and marvin excitedly yells out what he is and starts info dumping about it
~ has a collection of silly/colorful patterned kippot with one of those kippot with the helicopter propeller on top
~ loves collecting things; cool rocks, flowers that he has whizzer press for him, toy trains, bottle caps, rubber duckies, you name it
~ loves jumping and splashing around in puddles when it's raining but as soon as he goes back inside he whines about being dirty and wet so he immediately has to take a bubble bath and get in cozy pj's
