This is off topic from my blog but important for my followers.
Seattle’s new mayor is a lesbian who is getting sworn in in November instead of January because the old mayor has to resign because it turns out he has sexually abused at least 4 underage boys
Currently winning the race for sheriff is a woman married to another woman. Currently losing the race is the incumbent sheriff accused of raping and then intimidating into silence at least one woman.

Rixyin hums thoughtfully. “That really is something you’ll need to figure out. Especially as you become an adult. If I knew anyone who could help, I’d tell you. Unfortunately, my network isn’t all that great. But I’ll keep an eye out.”
She grins for a moment, but quickly amends it to a smaller smile.

She imagines Rix in a fistfight with a huge, faceless highblood. Tialth hadn’t really noticed before, but Rix looked very strong. She was even taller than her by quite a bit. Rix looked like she could easily take her down if she wanted.
“I don’t always get along well with trolls I work with. Usually it’s them hitting on me, though, not actually hitting me. But I’m used to it.” Tialth smiles, thinking of all the amusing encounters she’s had at the shop.
“I don’t mind it. I’ve made a bit of a name for myself in certain communities, so often times there’s no fighting to be had at all. And if there is, I have basic training with most weapons. Enough to have an idea of how to kick someone’s ass, anyway.”
She quirks an eyebrow, listening to Tialth’s piece. A grin splits her face, trying to picture the smaller girl tossing a belligerent drunk out the door.
