“I want everything – love, adventure, intimacy, work.”
— Virginia Woolf, from a letter to Leonard Woolf (via love-lesbelleschoses)
I love calm people. The ones choosing their words wisely, never raising their voice. Not living to show off, but to exist in a quiet and harmonic way, trying to at least not harm anyone. I find those people inspiring
Maybe Allah is testing you again because you failed your previous test. Have sabr, be grateful and tawakkul, then you'll pass this test. Know that behind every delay, there is goodness. People of Sabr, Shukr Tawakkul never have bad outcomes. They always have beautiful outcomes.
I hate waiting for your name to show up on my phone.

What a waste, Eisa Baddour (because)
like islam says: removing something harmful from a path is a branch of faith. because if this no day is wasted, there are always roads to clear to make the way easier for someone. there is always at least one kind word you can give when you sure you are empty of everything else. the world is saved by these small kindnesses and when this is the metric i use to measure my days success it makes this a much softer place. i don't have the job i want, i am not in love, i didn't solve any of the worlds greatest catastrophes. but i woke up today and took care of someone i love. of course it was a good day.
The older I get, the more I understand that it’s okay to live a life others don’t understand.
the reason you were able to read more and do more activities in a day when you were a kid than you do as an adult isn’t because you got stupider, it’s because as a child you generally had your base needs taken care of and your schedule provided to you, so you didn’t have to use as much of your mental and physical energy on planning, life maintenance (ie food and administrative tasks), and general executive function. of course you could focus on reading a novel in two days, somebody else made your lunches and you never thought about phone bills and you didn’t even have to decide for yourself when to take a bath. c’mon
