Marcus DeSieno’s ‘Cosmos’
For this series, photographer Marcus DeSieno harvests bacteria from the “most unlikely places” and breeds them on photographic film depicting galaxies, star clusters, and other heavenly bodies. DeSieno gathers bacteria from practically everywhere: from objects found in his home (an iPhone screen, remote control, and keyboard, to name a few) to public places (a hot tub in a motel, a door handle in a public bathroom, and a table at a restaurant) and even human orifices. http://bit.ly/1LwtE6X
