my  reconstruction  of  jasper  hale  as  he  was  meant  to  be  ...  a  creature  carved  from  the  ashes  of  war,  not  just  a  lover  in  a  gilded  high  school  drama.  here,  he  is  rewritten  with  the  weight  of  blood-drenched  battles  in  his  bones  &  the  haunting  quiet  of  commanded  killings  still  ringing  in  his  ears.

his  military  past  is  no  background  detail,  but  a  fractured  foundation  ...  years  spent  drenched  in  violence,  scarred  by  lead  &  loss,  left  hollow  long  before  he  was  turned.  vampirism  didn’t  cure  him.  it  amplified  the  ache,  ripped  open  old  wounds,  left  him  with  a  thirst  he  can’t  bury.  

he  is  not  a  gentleman.  he  is  not  tamed.  he  is  a  ghost  of  gethsemane,  a  weapon  turned  soft-spoken,  a  saint  with  blood  in  his  teeth.  this  is  jasper  hale  as  the  war  left  him  ...  and  as  the  hunger  keeps  him.
