One of my favorite things...

This is an extraordinarily powerful performance by Nina Simone of her first civil rights song “Mississippi Goddam.” This song captures Simone’s response to the racist murder of civil rights activist Medgar Evers in Mississippi, along with the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing in Birmingham, Alabama (which killed four young African American girls). Though unfathomable, the powerful message in this song still resonates with us today, in the year 2020, as racial injustice continues to flood America.

Księżyc ( Polish for “the moon”) is a group that formed in Poland in the 90′s. This song is from their release in 2000 titled “music the world does not see”
