Pillars of Creation redraw ✨
These pillars are made up of dust and gas clouds, forming huge columns that host the birth place of many young stars. The "Pillars of Creation" are part of a section of the Eagle Nebula (M16), which is a huge star-forming region located in the serpent constellation.
The art is based off of NASA's Hubble Space Telescope's 2014's revisit of the pillars. Different colours represent different element emissions like oxygen (blue), sulfur (orange), hydrogen and nitrogen (green). The art is supposed to be an accurate recreation of Hubble's photography. I added a bit of my own style and shading here as this object truly fascinates me and I hoped to capture the beautiful moments of new stars being born out of pure chaos.
Image below shows the reference image I used. I submitted this for the Astronomy-Art contest on the SB Discord server. The brush I mainly used is shown in the last image as an Ibis code, if anyone wants to use. :)
