Okay, I realize I’m a month late in answering this but to see this in my askbox has not only confused me but pissed me off. I have not stolen anything from any other Caspian. Yes my Caspian speaks Spanish but so do many others. I’ve been roleplaying Caspian for 2 years Nonnie and have seen that headcanon on almost every single Caspian roleplay blog. 

You want to falsely accuse me of something? Then grow the fuck up and do it off anon. I’m more than willing to talk about this and sort out whatever misunderstanding there happens to be going on. And has it ever occurred to you that it just so happens that whatever I happen to put on this blog was actually thought up by me and not stolen but just so happened that another Caspian thought of it too? Because there is such a thing as coincidence even when it comes to headcanons. I’ll also have you no that I blacklist any other Caspian rp blog and don’t even look at their blogs. So yeah, don’t go around falsely accusing someone when what you’re most likely accusing them of is just a coincidence and don’t do it on anon. And I’d also love to know what exactly I stole so I can prove you wrong.

Sorry about the unannounced hiatus. Work started to become killer due to me being made to open a lot, which meant before recently I had to be there for 5:30. Right now I’m also part taking in NaNoWriMo so my time away from work has been dedicated to that. I due plan to come back in December though. In the mean time I’m mostly hanging out over on my new muse, Puck from a Midsummer’s Night Dream/the Iron Fey series. Feel free to follow him!

“Last time I looked at the clock I think it said four.” Which meant she had had… four hours sleep. Oh, well, she had managed to live on that before and it wasn’t like she was going anywhere today. Nor did she intend to, so sorry Casen if you wanted to go somewhere. “Gimme five minutes and I’ll put this away.” She couldn’t even remember writing half of this. “I don’t think they’re that great anyway.”

A frown set on his face upon hearing that. He was well asleep by that point but he wished she had waken him up. At least then he could have given her some company. Glancing at the table, his shoulders shrugged a little when she mentioned moving them. “You don’t have to. But I’m sure they’re all that bad, babe.” He hadn’t looked at them but he knew how well Ula could write music and was certain there were some good ones within that pile. Maybe even some that seemed bad but actually had some good parts to it. “You should nap at some point today. Do you want me to make you some coffee or tea?”

       There’s a casual swipe of the back of her hand against her eyes as she muffles a response. It’s not every day that Ula falls asleep on the sofa, but it happens, especially if she can’t sleep so decides to spend the night writing new music. “Alright, alright, I’m awake.” The blonde pushes up to sit properly and look towards her boyfriend. “What time is it?”

He had wondered why she hadn’t joined him in bed the previous night. Looking down at their coffee table and seeing it riddled with sheet music was a good hint as to why that hadn’t happen. It wasn’t the first time but he was certain she had written more music this time than any other time before. “Eight o’clock,” he finally answered as he moved to sit down next to her and made her lean on him. “How long were you awake?”

At his apology she could only roll her eyes. Arista still didn’t fully understand Telmarine. She had only been with the King for a few months, but it was a completely different language. It wasn’t like it was English, or Danish – or the languages she had learned Under the Sea (King Triton made his daughters learn quite a few for political reasons, but Arista found it hard to pick up more than a couple when it was in a learning environment). Around Caspian she was picking up his language a lot better when she was around him, than if she was to learn through a teacher.

Even though Cornelius had offered to help. She sighed a little, moving her hand to his head and began to thread her fingers through his hair. “I know, you keep saying so.” She didn’t need Caspian to keep apologising. She needed him to do what was best for his body. He was pushing himself far too much… and she would have a word with his advisers but they wouldn’t listen to her. At least not before she was his Queen and had some authority. Right then she was simply his betrothed, Princess of Atlantica, and that meant nothing here on land. In Narnian waters, it might have been different. “You need to take some time away from work and just relax. You’ll be no good to your advisers if you stay in his shape.”

He knew he had said it multiple times before. He just wished for her to know that he meant it, that he didn’t wish for this to happen. He had enjoyed his time with her back at his summer castle and getting to know her. Not only did he break past any barriers she put up but found he had grown to love her and she felt the same. He wished to show her just how much he loved her. But now, like this, he couldn’t exactly do that. 

Letting out a long breath, Caspian reached up and laced a few of his fingers with those of her free hand. He knew she was right. She almost always seemed to be right. But saying that was easier said than done. He was king and he needed to rule his kingdom. His advisers were meant to aid him with that but they also hindered it. By making him work so much he couldn’t rule his kingdom the way he should. It was something that he needed to talk to them about. Once he had his strength back. “I know,” he finally muttered. “Not tonight or tomorrow. But I will.”

The Princess sat up a little as she watched her fiance undress so that he could be more comfortable when he ‘rest’. Part of her was still weary. She had a feeling that Caspian wasn’t going to rest like she wanted. He seemed to like to get what he wanted, but she also liked to get her own way. In fact, Arista strived for it. “You should sleep,” she pushed. If he didn’t get the desired rest then he would only end up being drained for the next day. He needed to be refreshed for making all those important decisions, it wasn’t as if he completely got on with his advisers, they pushed him and they didn’t always see eye to eye. They were good, but they had their own ideas too. Arista didn’t think that it was like what her father had with his advisers. (At least not adding Sebastian into the mix) as they seemed to act like a team instead of giving orders.

King Triton was a role model for Arista. She wanted to imitate the way that the Merking ran his Kingdom. But, Caspian pushing himself like this wasn’t giving him any time for himself – or for her – and they weren’t getting the chance to get to know each other like they did at Glasswater Creek. She didn’t want to only see him now and again.

Caspian pressed more of his head into her lap at her words. He knew that was what she wanted and what was best for him. But right then he wished to stay up a bit longer to actually get some time with her. He hated that he hadn’t taken the time to do that since they moved to Cair Paravel. Here he had to deal with all of his advisers, not just a handful. Some of them were better than others but they were the ones that didn’t try to push for things. The ones that caused the most problems were the ones that got him in these situations. And made it difficult for him to get time with his fiancee. 

He never wanted Arista to believe that he lost interest in her or that this was what he wanted. It was quite the opposite. He wanted to be with her more but whenever he tried to get that chance he was always given more work. “Lo siento,” he muttered while looking up at her. It was meant for many things. For not being around as often as he liked, for not doing what she wanted right then, for many things.

There’s yet another quick eye roll as her fiancé picked her up and carried her (again) through to their joined bedroom. It wasn’t the first time that they shared a bed (fully clothed) and it most likely wouldn’t be the first time. Arista could tell that it was unlikely it would simply be rest. Caspian was exhausted, and he would most likely fall asleep the minute his head hit the pillow. She would adhere to the fact that he wanted to hold her. She’d withdraw from the feeling of wanting to hit him because he lifted her up. Her goal for that night was to make sure he spent it in his bed. Arista didn’t want to see Caspian walking around almost dead to the world because he had no sleep, yet again. However, just because she didn’t, didn’t mean she wasn’t dying to. It was unlike her to let someone else change how she felt. But, for him, she would. It was important for the King to be well refreshed so that he could run his Kingdom efficiently. It was better in the long run. She could only imagine what his advisers would be like if he fell asleep at his desk again. “You’re testing my patience, you know that?” Just because she would allow him to have his own way didn’t mean she wouldn’t vocally let him know how she was feeling, however. By now the King was used to the Princesses demeanour and how she acted.

If she was to be pissed off, or agitated, he’d be used to it. He’d understand that it was more or les show she showed she cared. Just as it was that she was more or less using this closeness between them to manipulate him to rest.

At her words he let out grunt. He was glad that, for once, she was allowing him to get his way. He knew that normally she would have put up a bit of a fuss. Still allow him to do as he pleased but fuss the whole way. It was something that Caspian had grown used to and love about her. With that sort of attitude of hers, he knew that when it came time for him to leave Cair Paravel and Narnia was left in her care that she would stick to what he wanted and not what his advisers wished for. 

In a few strides he reached the bed and there he laid her down. Once that was done he began to kick off his boots until his bare feet were on the stone floor. It wasn’t that cold and even then the slight bite of the cold stone touched the soles of his feet. Soon his trousers followed and were around his ankles, leaving him in nothing but his shirt and braes. Not that lasted long. His fingers made quick work of the buttons of my shirt before that was tossed onto a chair near the bed. When all of his clothes, except for his braes, he climbed onto the bed and laid his head within her lap. This was all Caspian had wanted. Some time with his fiancee and the chance to relax. Really he knew he would possibly fall asleep soon but he wished to hold out at least until he got the chance to talk to her for a bit before that happened. 

“Gracias,” he mumbled while looking up at her through a few strands of hair that had fallen into his eyes when he laid his head down.

Fuming slightly from the fact her fiance seemed to be spending more time working than he was getting the desired hours of sleep she wanted (and in most cases the physicians wanted) him to have, Arista rolled her eyes when his arms were encased around her waist and she was pulled against him. “I don’t respond well to blackmail.” The blonde replied to his sentiment. She understood that maybe he had missed her. They hadn’t seen each other that often with him working on these treaties. She, well, she was working too hard on getting to know the world that she was marrying into. There was so much she had yet to learn, so much she had to figure out. She barely understood how humans worked… let alone how to be the Queen of a Kingdom full of them. “But I suppose I’ll cave this once. Come on.”

He mumble an incoherent noise while she accused him of blackmail. He hadn’t meant for it to be blackmail. Just the prospect of going to bed by himself wasn’t as pleasing as resting with her. It didn’t help that the both of them had been busy and that meant they didn’t get to spend so much time together. Caspian was still somewhat used to when they were at Glasswater Creek and he was the only one that was busy. Usually he could take a break and Arista would be waiting for him. But now she had her only lessons and things to take care of while he still had his duty as king. 

When she finally caved in, he let out another incoherent noise but this one holding a pleasing note unlike the other. He stood up, though his body wished for him to remain sitting down and leaning against her, and without another thought scooped her up into his arms. He might have been tired but even he could push himself a little to do something he came to enjoy. That thing being carrying Arista around. Even in his fatigued state she still felt light. Exiting his study and going into their adjoined bedroom. If she complained about what he was doing it fell on deaf ears. This was the last time he was going to exert himself before falling into bed with her.

“Well, I’ve been waiting,” Arista raised her brows and watched her boyfriend when he said that they were ready to go. He was the one that had been rushing her… but still, she shrugged it off and made her way over to the waiter and the Pokemon. Arista began to scratch Kyden behind the ear again, just as she was moments before, and gave Caspian a curious look. “Let’s go, then.” All Arista wanted was to get the Pokemon food, delivery it to the Aquarium, feed the water Pokemon there and then get breakfast as Caspian wanted. She knew that he would be happy enough just getting to relax, but she had to put work first before play. Maybe she shouldn’t have told her manager that she would pick up the food (especially on her day off) but she had done it now, no chance to back out.

“Uh huh.” Once she was seated in the cart, Kyden began to walk forward and in the direction of the docks. It was a fortunate thing, or so Caspian thought, that he didn’t have to tell Kyden where to go. Usually he understood where they were going just by listening to his and Arista’s banter while he was hooked up. 

While Kyden walked, his trainer leaned a bit more against the bench and wrapped an arm around his girlfriend’s shoulders. “Where do you want to go for breakfast?” Though it would still be a couple of hours before they went and had something to eat he wanted to know what she was in the mood for. Most of the time he would be against going to the cafe he worked at but after that morning he wasn’t going to push his luck. Getting Arista pissed off, however small it might be, wasn’t something Caspian wanted on their day off. Here he had planned on spending some much needed time together and that wouldn’t happen if she was angry with him.

“Yeah, yeah.” Like he hadn’t noticed that. Really she had been as determined to get him out the door as he had been about making her get breakfast afterwards. But he understand why she was being so pushy. This was part of her job and she was only trying to do it. And Kyden could use the exercise too. Running around the yard and taking him to work wasn’t exactly much when the two of used to battle. 

Getting up onto the seat of the cart, Caspian leaned down and offered a hand to help her up. Part of him expected her not to take it but he wanted to at least show her that he could still be a gentleman. But given how long they had been together he also expected her to actually accept his help. This isn’t the first time he had helped her with this sort of chore anyways.
