My tribute to Rhaenyra as HotD season 3 starts in a week!

We're clearly still doing things tentatively here but I've wanted to mix charcoal and golden watercolour for a while so that's been fun. It was incredibly hard doing the details of her face on a smaller scale on grainy paper but I think I'm definitely ditching this paper now. Lots of issues with this piece but I think I learned a lot.

A tribute to Moiraine and Siuan's beautiful and tragic relationship in the Wheel of Time.

This is the first time I've attempted to do my own composition, re-using the same reference for Siuan as the very first drawing I've posted on this blog.

I once again used mainly charcoal powder with a paintbrush and a stump, and I'm enamored with the black-and-white watercolor style it creates. Downside is it's sooo messy to work with :')
