Conrad Veidt as Ivan the Terrible in the "Das Wachsfigurenkabinett" (1924) directed by Paul Leni, and Mikhail Kuznetsov as Fyodor Basmanov, oprichnik, in the film "Ivan the Terrible" / "Иван Грозный" (1944) directed by Sergei Eisenstein. In my opinion, they look really cool together.

Sergei Eisenstein (with all the soviet passion) scolded German film expressionism, however, in "Ivan the Terrible" he tried to match the methods of directors of the Weimar era and even looked for an actor for the role of Basmanov, most likely on the young Conrad, who was the personification of expressionism in 1920.
