OOC - Supplementary

// I wanted to keep this post as an aside from my previous ranty/upset/depressed one just in case people are uncomfortable reading that. It’s also important to me that I end this on a more positive note.

// Though I will be taking Teo off of Tumblr and potentially leaving altogether, I wanted to at least say thank you to those few people who have always been there to lend a hand or ear, even if I wasn’t willing to talk much myself. It’s people like you that gave me hope that maybe I could do something worthwhile to lighten someone’s day or provide a meager form of entertainment for them with one of my characters. I’m sorry if you’re sad to see Teo go. Like I said in my previous post, I’m sad too... but maybe it’s a good thing that I set him aside and let one of my other characters take the spotlight this time. I’m still considering this as an option if I can hold onto that hope that you people have given me. In short: Thank you for being there for me, and I hope we can spend time with each other in some other way.

OOC - Closing

// Just want to make another post about the state of the blog, since I’ve had a few people now tell me that they’ve “had no idea” that I’m thinking about closing this down. Yes, I’m most likely going to be shutting down the blog for good within the next few months. At the very least it will no longer be a blog for Teo. More information/rambling under the cut.

// Though Teo will no longer be a character I publicly RP as (very few people were genuinely upset with this, but the time for begging is long overdue, guys) I may still convert this blog into something new. I’ve considered turning it into a personal blog where I can create sub-blogs dedicated to certain characters. That would mean that the main blog here would be used for general art and maybe reblogs. Honestly, I might not even do this, but I’ll explain more about why later in this post.

// Another option I’ve brought up is RPing as a new yordle OC that I’ve had in the works. His name is Clover. He is a white-furred, white-eyed painter who loves colors and sweater-vests and (currently) lives in the heart of Bandle City (might move him to Piltover if Rei wants to make certain things canon). That is about all of the information I have on him, though, so there will be a lot of development to do with history and characteristics.

// From here on I get a bit more rant-y, but it is my true feelings on the situation at hand.

// “But what will happen to Teo?” you might (doubtfully) ask. Well, he’s gone. I have no patience left for roleplaying a character that never, ever, ever gets to actually finish a scene or makes any sort of impact on other characters’ lives, nor do I have the time or passion to forcefully shove him into other roleplayers’ faces when they clearly don’t want him there. It hurts me deeply to say all of this because Teo was the first original character I ever roleplayed as and I have been nurturing him for years, but I am done. If the character that I love is too boring or too much effort to meet with in the community’s eyes then I’m just going to be done with it and move on.

// Speaking of the community, I have half the mind to just up and vanish without a word because the small amount of people who I feel would actually care about me leaving can still contact me on Skype. I am very disconnected from pretty much everyone here and feel like I have no place. For lack of a better term I’m “undesirable” to most people, or at least that is the impression that has been left on me after these 2+ years on Tumblr. Will I miss it here? Probably, which is why I might convert this into a personal blog just to keep in touch. But honestly, how many of you would actually be interested in following that? My gut tells me not many. Prove me wrong if you want, but when I graduate in March (potentially sooner should I find a steady job) I will be pulling the plug and making my final decision.

// Something I’ve been thinking about is potentially having a change of muse. There is another yordle OC that I have that would be more easily available (particularly to the yordle community) which would hopefully make it easier for people to get ahold of him. The problem is that he isn’t nearly as fleshed out as Teo was (who has literally had years of work put into his history and characteristics). It’s still unlikely that I will RP much within the next three months, but would more people have a desire to RP with me if I changed my muse? Or would nothing change?

// Thank you for the support then. It’s not that I want to leave, but I don’t have the ambition to continue putting a lot of effort into this blog. I’ve made three attempts at rebooting it with little success. Teo may have been my first and favorite character, but I am not connected with this community whatsoever, I do not play the game at all, and I cannot seem to find a way to make the character both “interesting” and “available” enough to meet people’s standards. There is no enjoyment left in it for me and since everyone I’ve RPed with in the last several months has dropped the thread early (save for two people) I can only assume that I have not provided enough enjoyment for others either.

// That being said, I know that there are people out there who follow me because of the things I draw rather than the things I write. To those people I can only say “I’m sorry,” because I don’t have the time to put up a lot of content, particularly content related to the character or the game.

// Like I said in the original post, I may still convert this blog into a personal blog for art and reblogs. I say “may” because by doing this my already minimal community interaction is most likely going to disappear completely. People may not know this, but I’m a very shy and self-conscious person and will most likely refrain from speaking to anyone for fear of giving off a bad impression, which more than likely gives off a bad impression anyway. Still, knowing this and getting support from friends and family has not been able to help me overcome the crippling fear of mine.

// I do not have high hopes for the future of this blog any longer, so before I disappear completely into my constructed solitude I wanted to let the community know how I’ve really been feeling about it. It may just sound like a cry for help to some people, but honestly I’d rather lay it all out there than leave without a word.

Inactivity

// I just wanted to apologize for the lack of activity on this blog. Not only have I lost pretty much any hope in revitalizing this blog, but I’ve also been filling my time with other things. As some of you may know I’m in my final three months of college, which basically means spending all of my time working on projects for my portfolio. On top of that, I’ve been spending my free time working on commissions and playing Guild Wars 2.

// The way I see it, there is little chance that I will be roleplaying as Teo in the foreseeable future. Considering I haven’t gotten a single person in the last two months to show any interest in roleplaying with me anyways (save my boyfriend) I’m going to say it’s safe to assume that none of you would mind if this blog just became an archive. The idea of converting it into a personal blog is still in the back of my mind, but I’m going to wait until I graduate to make a final decision.

“Listen, Rei…” Teo sighs, folding his arms behind him. “I am sorry for ending things like I did. But this is where I have always wanted to be, and it just wasn’t possible for us to remain together. I do hope that in time you will come to forgive me.”

The monk puts a few fingers over his lips, chuckling again. “Your little friend doesn’t seem very fond of strangers. I’m sorry to hear you have been lonely as well.”

Teo calms quickly and folds his hands behind his back before. “I hope that you do come across new friends in the near future. It is good to surround yourself with people you feel close to.”

Rei shakes his head. “He knows about you Teo.” He sighs, scratching his cheek. “He sort of hates your guts.” He has his foot pressed against the robot to keep it’s face buried, muffled obsenity’s spouting from said spot

“Hates my guts?” Teo tilts his head to the side in feint puzzlement, though the sly smirk on his face shows otherwise. “Funny, considering he has never seen my guts before. But I will take your word for it.”

The cream-colored yordle stands straight once more with a nod. “Perhaps I can change his mind in the future. Sadly, I won’t be in town for long. I’m merely stopped here for some provision before I set out on my journey, and I wanted to take the time to stop by and see you again.”

“Um…” Teo steps forward, cautiously looking around the space. “I’m sorry, but I think I’ve walked into the wrong tent. Are you the merchant that the townsfolk are murmuring about? I don’t think I’ve seen you around before…”

The monk holds a genuine smile, spreading his arms. “Of course. You are a welcome guest in these parts. I was worried that perhaps you were choosing to stay away from the village because of the townsfolk here. Everyone knows that it isn’t good for a yordle to be without company, yes? Sorry if I am being a bother.”

“No you are not a bother. Sit down” he offered the yordle a seat with a smile as he blew smoke into the air. “I avoid the town during the night because of the townsfolk yes. Traveling merchants are often seen as easy prey. So I camp outside. And don’t worry about me, I am just an old yordle. Nothing to worry about”

“Old? Well, I never would have guessed. Your coat is still brightly colored. If I had to guess, I would have said you couldn’t be any more than thirty.” Teo smiles and chuckles lightly as he moves to seat himself. “Do you get much company out here then? I can’t imagine avoiding people would be good for business.”

“My apologies.” The shivering yordle bows low to Anivia, clinging tight to the blanket wrapped around him. It had been uncomfortably chilly on the edge of the Ironspike Mountains and even more so with the arrival of the cryophoenix. “I have decided to take a spiritual journey into the mountains, but was unaware of this being your land. I did not mean to intrude.” aniviacryophoenix

The yordle pauses for a brief moment as if having a sudden thought. He turns to Anivia again with a smile. “Which reminds me, I don’t believe I have ever met a creature like yourself. My name is Teo. It is very nice to meet you.”

Anivia paused a moment, looking over the yordle again. “Perhaps… If you happen upon the Yetis, do mention Queen Ashe of Avarosa’s name.” They wouldn’t understand his words, certainly, but such is the way of learning. At the very least, that name should protect him from… a rather swift demise.

“I’m afraid that I am unique among the creatures of Runeterra.” The nodded again in recognition of his introduction, “Welcome, Teo, it is a pleasure indeed. I am called Anivia, the Cryophoenix of the Freljord.”

“Anivia?” Teo slows down again, being careful not to stumble as the name tickles his memories. “I feel as though I have heard that name before, but I can’t say where from. If you are quite unique, though, I guess it is no surprise that people would speak about you around the world.”

He picks up his pace once more, still holding his coverings tight against the frigid air. “Thank you again for all of the advice. I feel that having it will certainly raise my chances of survival.” The yordle looks up to Anivia with a smile and light chuckle.

“Sir, shall I proceed to target this yordle’s head?”

Rei sighed, his fist slamming into the machine and knocking it to the ground, to which a small “Ow.” Was heard.
