Brief summary: Another continuation of Cale scamming the residents of Paradise.

Today was similar to the last chapter. Cale scammed the margraves of Paradise this time and they fell for it. 😂 And Cale's imitation of Clopeh also continued.

Reactions to the Unconscious' Chapter 605

Brief summary: A continuation of Cale scamming the villagers.

Today's chapter was just a continuation of Cale's scam. He got the village chief of Paradise 107 to call the other village chiefs and mayors of neighboring villages and chiefs, and spread their cause.

The mayor of Paradise 77 was an old man who was a Swordmaster, and considered to have a position similar to a margrave. Through him, Cale also conveyed a meeting of margraves (basically, all the big leaders of the territories far from the Central Holy Land). And yes, he scammed them too by imitating Clopeh's smile. 😂😂😂

If there was one thing to note, Bob was back! 😂😂😂 Cale used that alias again to introduce himself to the sacrifices. Oh, and he painted Lighton to be a traitor who stabbed Amlack in the back. 😂😂😂Though, it would be a plot twist if Lighton was indeed a traitor. 😂😂😂

Ending Remarks I once wished Clopeh to have been included in the Dream World group, but I'm thankful that he was not included now. Otherwise, we would not have seen Cale imitating his fanatic. 😂😂😂

Next chapter would be the villagers moving towards the Central Holy Land to "defend" their god, 2E. I wonder what would happen to the sacrifices if they realized the truth. Would they become followers of the God of Harmony? Or of Caleism? 😂

Brief summary: Cale scams the villagers.

Some basic lore about the prison:

The place is called Paradise

Villages are called Paradise 1, Paradise 2, and so on

The villagers worship 2E as their god

2E's subordinates are called the Seven Stars

There are around 100 thousand ordinary people who live as villagers, meant to be sacrifices for 2E

The guides have a bounty on them among the villages

2E lives in the Central Holy Land, which is actually the God of Harmony's prison

A huge ritual is being prepared where all villagers will enter the Central Holy Land, which is in a week

The villagers believe entering the Central Holy Land is entering the true Paradise, and thus, the villages are scrambling to be the first to enter it

In reality, the day of entering the Central Holy Land is the day they are locked up in prison instead of 2E

Cale's group entered the village named Paradise 107, pretending to be Amlack's subordinates who had escaped after a bloody fight. They secretly told the village chief that the "Star" Amlack was injured and needed to rest, so they were let in.

They claimed that followers of the God of Harmony attacked them, and that the true reason 2E was letting the villagers in the Central Holy Land was because the followers of God of Harmony, numbering a hundred thousand, were planning to launch a massive attack on Paradise. 😂😂😂

Cale went on to act that the Seven Stars and 2E's loyal believers were planning to stay outside to fend off the attack and sacrifice themselves for 2E. For the villagers, this was interpreted as "true faith to their god is not entering the Central Holy Land to fight against their god's enemies"... 😂😂😂

Cale showed a sorrowful smile. “At least, if we fight together. Wouldn't we be able to protect the Second Emperor?” “!” “We will absolutely not run away to the Central Holy Land and watch the Second Emperor's sacrifice! We must protect her……!” The sacrificial ritual for the Second Emperor's descent. To stop that, Cale spread faith. -Pfft. On another note, GoD's acting was stellar today.

Worried that they would be caught because of the God of Death, Cale glanced back and paused. “Ahem. I-I am sorry.” The God of Death's acting skills were very outstanding. Did this guy use to be an actor when he wasn't a god? It was to the point of having such thoughts. . . . Sob. Behind him, the God of Death choked back a sob. -Pfft. Of course, he sent laughter to Cale. This crazy bastard. Cale said while completely catching his emotions.

GoD sobbing so naturally on the outside, but sending a laugh via telepathy... 🤣🤣🤣

Ending Remarks I remember Cale pretending to be a priest in the past, but to think he'd imitate Clopeh this time. Clopeh must be his peak example of a fanatical believer. 😂😂😂 Next chapter would be Cale spreading his scam to the other villages. I wonder what GoD's role would be in this scam. In New World, the Western Empire declared war against the "outsiders", turning it into a NPCs vs Players war. They also declared Cale's allied nations as traitors for siding with the Players. So Cale's group outside were planning countermeasures.

In the God of Harmony's prison, the humans brought in by Amlack as sacrifices for 2E were fooled into believing that 2E was their god and that this prison was paradise. They rejected the followers of the God of Harmony, refusing to believe they were actually sacrifices.

Thus, the funny part arrived. Clopeh together with three people associated with the Sun God (Alberu, Saint Jack, and the Saintess of the Sun God church in New World) would, in Clopeh's words, fight "belief with belief".

And Cale decided to pull off a scam against 2E's fanatics, saying that they would fight "belief with belief" too, as he pointed to GoD and the God of Harmony's divine item.

...Never would I have expected for Cale to utter the same words as Clopeh. 😂😂😂 "Belief with belief"? 😂😂😂 No wonder the new chapter title was like that. The situation inside and outside the prison was the same. 😂😂😂

Ending Remarks The situation of Cale's group inside and outside the prison seemed serious, but Cale, GoD, and Clopeh always lightened it up with their funny moments. 😂 Next chapter would be the scam. I wonder what Cale would make GoD do. Would they make GoD pretend to be the God of Harmony?

Brief summary: Cale fully remembers his ancient powers. Cale's group enters the God of Harmony's prison.

With Cale using his Silver Shield, he finally remembered all his ancient powers! 🥹🥹🥹 Though they grumbled at him, they were happy to be remembered. 🥰🥰🥰 Cale even called out their names one by one as he fought Lighton.

Cale: I forgot the APs! CH indeed can't help but say I'm crazier than him! SR: That's right, Cale. Cale: …

Super Rock! 😂😂😂 I know Cale missed you, but it was funny that he ignored your words (like usual) after all that. 😂😂😂

As for Lighton, he seemed to have something to do with the sun. Cale's APs said that Lighton was at least a level below 3E in power, so Cale did not fight him directly. Rather, they snatched Amlack from him, his only method of getting out of the Unconscious, and escaped, leaving Lighton to wander around the Unconscious.

I doubt this would be the end for him though, because his unique power seemed to have similarities or connection to the sun, and when it came to the sun, we all associate it with Alberu. Perhaps he'd appear in the future to fight Alberu? It was still unknown why he cooperated with 2E, but the chance of him being an ally look slim.

Ending Remarks I'm happy that Cale finally remembered his APs! 🥰🥰🥰 Cale remembering them was the key to clearing his Unconscious, so their next stop after that, with the help of the guides, was the prison of the God of Harmony.

Next chapter would be Cale's meeting with... God of Harmony? Or 2E? I mean, if 1E ate God of Harmony, they're no longer in the prison, right? So only 2E was inside? I guess we'd have to wait to figure out the exact details.

Hello, this is Yoo Ryeo Han. To celebrate the 600th chapter of Part 2, I wanted to leave this afterword. Haha! Since I’ve been writing this single story for over eight years now, there are many times when I feel like the characters in it are truly my friends and family. And I often feel a similar way toward you, my readers. Although I don’t get to check the comments very often, whenever I do happen to look, my heart swells with emotion as I realize just how many memories I’ve built with all of you over the course of this serialization. Truly, through Lout of Count's Family, so many precious things have come into my life. Because of that, I want to do my absolute best to continue writing this story well and to see it through to completion. Hmm, as for the conclusion of Part 2… hmm, I still don't really know, haha! We had double chapter today, but despite the tense atmosphere of the battle, the funny moments lightened it up. 😂

First off, I just realized 2E's subordinates had some wordplay going on with their names:

Wind - English loanword of "wind"

Jinmud - Jin is Korean for "mud" and "mud" is English loanword for "mud"

Elwood - Wood is English loanword for "wood", and adding El to wood makes it look like a proper name

Amlack - Am is Korean for "darkness" and "lack" is part of the English loanword for "black" (beul-lak)

Lighton - English loanword for "lighten"

Yes, I should have translated Amrak as Amlack. 😂 BTW, Lighton is the new wanderer that Amlack summoned as reinforcement. He wielded a spear of light and was a former hero who had saved a world. Given that Eru described him as pure without malice, perhaps he might be a potential ally... unless he ends up like Elwood too.

Cale: *used Instant to hold Amlack in place* Amlack: !!! Cale: *also bleeding everywhere* Amlack: ??? Cale: See you! Cale: *runs away while coughing blood* Amlack: ??? CH: *angry at seeing bleeding Cale* Amlack: Why is he angry???

This entire scene was so funny. 😂😂😂 Amlack was so confused why Cale was suddenly behind him and bleeding, and then suddenly running away. 😂😂😂 And CH becoming angry when he should be the angry one because CH stabbed him... 😂😂😂

Amlack: You crazy bastard! CH: Right. I am crazy. I forgot. Amlack: ???

Continuing to chapter 601, CH who got angry at seeing bleeding Cale was now chasing Amlack like a crazy killer. 😂😂😂 Lighton helped out Amlack and confronted CH.

Lighton's unique power seemed to be foreshadowing that he would be Alberu's opponent in the future because of their relation to the sun. That is, if Lighton remained an enemy. Even Amlack didn't know why Lighton agreed to work for someone like 2E. Then again, 2E was once a "hero" who saved her world before she turned dark.

The fight was making Cale slowly recall his APs! After he saw his wounds healing, he murmured the word "regeneration" and suddenly heard sobbing! 🥹🥹🥹 And then GoD gave him a hint to act on instinct, so when he saw CH about to be hit by the light, he thought of a shield to protect CH, and his silver shield appeared!!! ☺️☺️☺️

‘You reckless bastard!’ Who, who— Told you to copy me all the way to doing something like this? Huh? Cale saw an overlap between himself, who had used Instant, and Choi Han. Furthermore, he realized. I hate this.

Reactions to the Unconscious' Chapter 599

Brief summary: GoD uses his power to save Mary. Cale uses Instant.

Mary was in danger of being swallowed by the darkness, so GoD used his power to create an umbrella of sorts to eliminate the darkness threatening her. Thus, GoD's intervention only had 3 uses left.

But this part was nerve-wracking because it exposed GoD as Cale's backer to the enemy. 😖😖😖 We also got a more detailed explanation of GoD's power, which had something to do with a person's proper death.

The first intervention was the note notifying Cale of the enemies. GoD could interfere to save Cale for the sake of Cale's "proper death." The second use was the umbrella protecting Mary. He saved Mary for the sake of her proper death.

Where exactly was Amrak teleporting the people devoured by his darkness? The answer was the God of Harmony's prison. If you recall, the prison had the Balance of Life where if you wanted to take out someone from the prison, you needed someone the imprisoned person believed to be equal to their life.

Given that 2E was the one in the prison now, Amrak was planning to use Cale's group as sacrifices to free 2E from the prison.

Despite Amrak being stabbed in the shoulder by CH, he could still call for reinforcements via his shadow. Cale was alarmed, and thus... he used Instant to approach Amrak. 😱😱😱 Our Cale was like, "It's good to have a sturdy body after a long time~" while bleeding all over his body... 😟😟😟

And CH? He cut off Amrak's arm and then stabbed the reinforcement who was in the middle of being teleported by Amrak. 😂😂😂 GoD was even cheering, "Two birds with one stone!" 😂😂😂

Ending Remarks Ah, he really used Instant, huh? I'm conflicted on whether I should feel happy or worried in seeing bleeding Cale again... Next chapter would be Cale dealing with the enemy. Why did he even use Instant to approach Amrak though? He still had not remembered his APs, so what else could he do to Amrak?

Brief summary: CH's unique power is called "Night". Angry Amrak pulls off his last move.

CH's unique power was called "Night", but so far, it did not turn his surroundings into nighttime. It had manifested as a black blade capable of slashing through Amrak's darkness. Amrak ranked it as Transparent rank, but had the potential to become the highest rank, Five-Color rank.

When one encountered danger, a person's fight-or-flight response would be activated. For the two, that danger was the darkness. CH chose fight while Amrak chose flight, so their unique powers reflected their choice. CH's "fight" response allowed him to slash the darkness, and Amrak's "flight" response gave him the ability to move and teleport in the darkness.

But despite the choice he made, Amrak was enraged at CH's unique power. And also threatened because his own power at full power was only at Transparent rank. So he decided to pull off his last move, a move he was anticipating in preparation for facing a god.

It was not clear what it was, but he was preparing to cover the entire Incheon area with his darkness, I think? So Cale was alarmed and called out to GoD. Cale was even contemplating in using Instant because he felt so weak right now.

Someone please make Cale remember his APs! 😟😟😟 Have a darkness problem? Just light it up with the Fire of Destruction! 🔥🔥🔥

Ending Remarks With the current crisis, I wonder if this would be cue for Beacrox to awaken his unique power. Next chapter would be Cale's decision. Would he use Instant or would he recall his ancient powers?

Brief summary: CH awakens his unique power.

The entire chapter was CH's monologue about his fear of the darkness and how he survived in the Forest of Darkness.

Inside the darkness, he accepted his fear of it. He also realized that he and Amrak were of the same kind. Their difference was that Amrak always chose to flee while he chose to flee AND endure. Enduring made him stronger.

Choi Han drew his sword. The blade of the sword Cale had given him turned black. There was no violent black dragon, nor a boiling aura. Just a sword that had turned black. One who has endured despair is not shaken by that despair. Slash. Choi Han swung his sword. And the darkness split apart. Just as it always had. Choi Han accepted his darkness. His unique power bloomed.

And the chapter ended at that last line. Darn cliffhangers... 😖😖😖

Ending Remarks With CH's awakening, Beacrox would be next, hopefully. Next chapter would be the end of the Amrak battle. I wonder what CH's unique power is called.

Brief summary: YSH self-destructs. Cale finds a hint to clearing his Unconscious. CH runs to the darkness.

YSH's defeat was so funny. 😂 He found KRS's Record useless, and chose to drink Mary's blood to get a better power. But Mary's blood had dead mana, so he suffered from poisoning (?).

Thinking it was poison, he used his 5th copied ability, Detoxify. It failed, though, because dead mana was a part of nature and not poison. Thus, he was now dying. 🤣🤣🤣

Cale realized that defeating YSH was not the key to clearing his Unconscious. Rather, YSH was the hint, and remembering his now-forgotten APs was the answer. But how would he remember it?

Was it because YSH's copied abilities were similar to his APs? Was this the reason Cale felt angry at YSH using those abilities? Or was it because YSH kept shouting "blood!" and Cale unconsciously remembered that he always coughed blood whenever he used his APs? 😂😂😂 (Okay, last one was a joke and never happened in the chapter 😂)

Everyone kept avoiding the darkness, but CH kept finding it familiar. So Cale told him to trust his instinct. Thus, instead of avoiding the enemy's darkness, CH ran towards it with arms open wide and a gentle smile, making everyone, ally and enemy alike, confused at his actions. 😂😂😂

Ending Remarks Ooooooh! I guess CH's awakening is soon! 🤗🤗🤗 Next chapter would be CH embracing the darkness. I wonder how his unique power would manifest as.

Brief summary: Eru vs Amrak. CH got a clue to awakening his unique power.

Today was a battle chapter. Because Cale still couldn't remember his APs, it was Eruhaben who took the lead in defending against Amrak's attacks. Cale was slowly remembering that he had a Wind AP and an aura AP, but that was all. He still couldn't use it.

Amrak's power of darkness allowed him to teleport anywhere the darkness reached. That was why he easily dealt with fake YSH and Mary's skeletons by teleporting them away. And given that it was night, his power was far stronger.

Fortunately, CH quickly dealt with real YSH and encountered the darkness power that was similar to his own darkness aura. I guess CH awakening his unique power would be coming soon in the next chapters.

Ending Remarks The battle scene was actually quite tense since the attacks of Cale's group was not working. 😖 Next chapter would be CH vs Amrak. I look forward to CH's unique power awakening!

Unfortunately, the scam quickly fell through because Cale's cheapskate was so popular among the hunters. After all, it was the cheapskate who did the decisive blow against the Black Bloods' plans and purified the Blue Bloods' jiangshi in Central Plains.

With Cale's scam being busted, Mary sent the signal to the others. With a golden dust beam, Eru punched a hole through the building down to the basement floor where the real YSH was hiding. And CH was deployed to fight YSH.

‘Beacrox. You assist. God of Death, hide near Eruhaben-nim, and pop out if you think it's dangerous.’ ‘No, why do you speak so harshly to me?’ ‘Quiet.’ ‘…….’

Typical Cale and GoD conversation. 😂😂😂

Cale saw the wanderer Amrak for the first time. “I got played?” Amrak was laughing. And Cale also replied with a laugh. “Yeah. You got played.” Grin. A very disrespectful smile formed around Cale's lips.

Well, with the scam failing, I guess Cale would have no choice but to fight Amrak. I wonder how he would fight when he forgot the APs. Would KRS finally reveal his other abilities besides Record and Instant?

Ending Remarks Amrak falling for Cale's scam was so funny. 😂 Next chapter would be CH vs YSH, and Cale vs Amrak. And given that Beacrox's hands kept itching, would he awaken his unique power soon?

Brief summary: YSH copies Record. Amrak arrives and meets YSH.

This was so funny when taken out of context. 🤣🤣🤣 KRS really had a hidden talent of attracting powerful individuals who find him "interesting". 😂

Since YSH was the thief now, the treasures he stole were Mary and the guide. YSH's Copy ability worked by consuming the target's blood and then seeing the target use that ability. So when Cale, Mary, and the guide were unconscious earlier, YSH had already drawn their blood. Thus, YSH was able to copy KRS's Record ability today.

There were 3 copied abilities revealed today:

Puppet - creates a fake body that could use the main body's abilities. Originally from YSH's friend whom he betrayed.

Wind Walker Step - uses the wind to move anywhere incredibly fast and stealthily

Tree Vines (?) - creates tree vines from hands to bind the target

The YSH whom Cale met was actually the fake body. The real body was hidden somewhere, drinking the blood of Cale and his companions. As for that Wind ability, Cale felt angry at seeing it, though he couldn't understand why. I guess the words "wind" and YSH being a "thief" were the trigger.

‘I think he died because his entire body broke down, right?’ The real Yang Sun Ho's body couldn't withstand three uses of 'Instant' and died. He didn't die from an enemy's attack, but from the backlash of the ability. In addition, Kim Rok Soo had almost died as well. ‘Even thinking about it now, I don't know how I survived—’

This was Cale recalling the past. So 3 consecutive uses of Instant was enough to kill a person... Yeah, Cale, how exactly did you survive that?!

KRS's former colleagues said it was luck, but one of them wondered if it was a god's doing. And now, Cale was suspecting that, perhaps, GoD was already looking out for him back then, so he didn't die no matter how serious his body's condition was.

Cale's plan to have YSH and the wanderer Amrak fight each other was simple. First, 2E's subordinate did not know KRS's face. They only knew Cale's, so even if he met Cale, he wouldn't recognize him.

Second, Amrak tracked Cale through the guide he captured tracking the other guide on Cale's side. But that guide was now captured by YSH, so the direction was pointing to the real YSH and not Cale. 😂😂😂

Third, YSH wouldn't like a third party interfering with his game, though he thought Amrak was KRS's ally rescuing him.

Thus, we now had a situation where Amrak ignored Cale upon meeting him and was looking at the direction where the real YSH was. 😂😂😂

Ending Remarks Hurry up and remember your APs, Cale! 😖 Next chapter would be YSH vs Amrak. I doubt YSH would be able to defeat a wanderer, but I still am looking forward to their fight like Cale.

Brief summary: GoD recalls his talk with the guide. Cale meets Yang Sun Ho (YSH).

We learned more about God of Harmony's prison. It was called the Balance of Life, which was obviously created by GoB. The prison had a unique rule - if the prisoner left, another must be locked up. And it couldn't be just any person. Depending on the weight of life that the confined person thinks of, the weight of the new life to be confined is determined.

So when 1E took out the God of Harmony and consumed her, 2E willingly became the person who was locked up. I guess God of Harmony believed that 2E's life was equal to hers. But what about 2E? If she wanted to get out, how many lives would she use as sacrifice as the "weight" of her life?

Cale did ask GoD to destroy that prison, and he reluctantly agreed, though he reminded Cale again and again on how many more times he could use his power.

Cale finally met Yang Sun Ho (YSH) after getting kidnapped along with Mary and the guide.

Regarding YSH's Copy ability, it had its limits. It only had 5 slots, so YSH discarded the useless ones and only kept the most powerful abilities. And just like KRS whose body overheated whenever he used his ability, YSH suffered from severe addiction from using his ability. If he didn't satisfy his addiction by killing and copying abilities, he would go berserk.

YSH suggested to play a game called "Catch the Thief". YSH was the cop, and KRS was the thief. KRS's ability was the treasure that the thief stole. But our Cale did not agree to that. He snapped back by saying "You're the bad guy, so you should be the thief." 😂😂😂

Ending Remarks YSH was doomed. Our Mary was holding back her anger as she saw Cale getting beaten up YSH's subordinates. Next chapter would be the Catch the Thief game. Hopefully, Cale somehow finds a way to use his APs instead of his Instant ability to overcome this situation. Or the wanderer enemy of his gets here fast so he can watch his two enemies fighting each other while he eats popcorn.

Brief summary: Cale does not fully remember the APs. Cale gets kidnapped.

While Cale did remember that he had ancient powers inside him, he couldn't remember their exact identities. So him using his APs might be hard unless the APs do it automatically for him.

Regarding the God of Harmony, it had officially been confirmed that she was a woman. So Balance and Harmony were twin sisters.

We got some lines confirming that KRS was suicidal back then. But with him becoming Cale, his suicidal thoughts had stopped because he now had many precious people who would grieve for him if he died. 🥰 There was also a line where Cale said he stopped being indifferent because how could he remain indifferent and not smile with the kids around? 🥰🥰🥰

Cale's group finally figured out that 2E's subordinate was here and that the unusual darkness in the sky was their doing. But Cale planned to have 2E's subordinate and the villain Yang Sun Ho fight each other first before doing anything. And as he planned this:

Cale: *puts on a scammer smile* Cale's companions: *relieved* Guide: 😰 GoD: What's wrong? We're all on the same side, right? Isn't that great? GoD: *smiling like Cale too* Guide: Ahahaha… 😰😰😰

GoD doing a scammer smile too. 😂😂😂 And the guide feeling awkward and sweating at their plan. 😂😂😂

The next day, just as Cale finished his second investigation and was about to leave work, he was kidnapped at the entrance of the Incheon North District swamp area. “Hehehe.” While smiling.

Ending Remarks We did not get Cale and the AP's reunion, but at least Cale was now aware of their existence. Next chapter would be Cale's kidnapping. I guess we'd finally meet the villain, though I wonder how Cale would make his two enemies fight each other.
