Some questions cause I'm really confused. What's Todoroki's relationship with Deku in this universe, is he his teacher, senpai or student of the same level?? Did Bakugo and Deku knew each other before or not? Cause at the beginning they don't seem to but in the end Bakugo and his mom are in Deku's house?? What is Deku studying (ballet, freestyle, just dance)?? Is Bakugo going to that school, too? Why did he say that he wasn't going to attend that school and then he's under the principals watch?
Ok so, you’re right there’s lot of things I never explained and stay in my head since I never thought the story would have so much of a success so obviously I never made up with a whole detailed line, just some important illustrations like screen from a movie.About your questions:
Yes Todoroki teaches in the UAdA, he’s the son of a storic teacher (Endeavor) and he’s been dancing classic since he was born so he’s kind of the star of the Academy, everyone aspire to be on his level and he won many awards from performing and such wich allows him to take responsibility for some classes. (Note they’re not 15 here, they’re all past 20, anyway I always imagined Shoto to be like two years older than the others). Lot more in coming for the Todoroki’s, can’t say much.
Izuku got the chance to enter the UAdA to study more than one class (cuz he couldn’t just be in one since he’s such a passionate boy) so he studies classic, ballet, choreography etc (I’m not an expert lol sorry I don’t know much about dancing styles). But he’s always been attracted to the street dance style and he practiced freestyle and hip hop breakdance out of school! He’s much more talented on that.
Also that passion for street dance was born when he first saw that little kid, a delinquent brat living on his same street, Katsuki. They knew each other since childhood yes, like deku would see little kacchan dancing with his group of friends but never quite joining him. Deku never talked about street dance but he always wanted to try it and he admired kacchan style and talent, even tho he was a messy brat causing problems around. So yeah in the first part we see Deku finding himself falling again for him, staring at him like he’s watching him dance for the first time every time. (also after high school they probably lost each other for a while so it’s just like ‘I knew you but now I’m knowing you again’). Mitsuki and Inko are old friends and kind of neighbors.
Katsuki hates schools in general, and he’s not a ballet dancer for sure. He got his crew, he’s a great street performer, he just lives like that. But he has a great aspiration and he wants to be the best in everything he does, and he’s not stupid, he knows how much of an effort is to get accepted in UAdA. My idea here (wich I never showed) was a mix between the first two step up movies. He probably did something bad, like some vandalism or something and his mother Mitsuki forced him to go study instead of wasting his time. Otherwise she would have forced him out of home in a new country to get his head back on shoulders. But the Baku crew is more important to him than what it seems, he couldn’t let that happen. And he got into UAdA! (still working on socializing, that’s why he’s under principal watch, he has a bad reputation).
