Terrence Dohring

Just a regular 22 year old. I know I look intimidating, but I'm friendly... I swear! To me, nothing's more important than my friends.

  "Alright. I’ll see if I ever actually, you know… start."

And that's not even the hard part.  The worst part is keeping it up once it gets hard.

  "Wow I’m going to have to start exercising then."

It sure is helpful.  If you ever need motivation, I'd happily join you.

  "And succeeding. You’re doing a good job so far. And you’re managing to walk a lot faster with that bag then I would have."

Hey, after all the sweating, working out has its advantages.

  "Thank you," she said cutely, as she started towards her dorm.

[Terrence followed with a grin.]  What can I say?  Just trying to be a gentleman.

  "Alright. Well you can start by carrying this for me," she said handing him a bag and flashing a slight smirk.

I should have seen that coming.  [He takes the bag carries it with a shrug.]  No problem.

  "Oh, yeah, if you don’t mind, that would be great."

[terrasdeparture]

No problem.  Be right back.

[Terrence jogged toward his bike, so Moe wouldn't be kept waiting too long.  Within minutes, he returned with an extra helmet where Moe was sitting.]  Your chariot awaits.  [He smiled.]

  [After they got to the beach, Aqua slid off of the bike and took her helmet off.] Alright, I think I could do that

[the girl found a place for them and then took off her shirt and shorts, leaving her in the swimsuit she’d decided to put on. Spreading out the towel she brought, she sat down on it and waited for Terrence to come back]

Great spot.  [Terrence smiled with two piña coladas in his hands.]  I hope this is alright.  I figured it was a safe bet in terms of drinks.  [He handed one to her and sat down on the towel he brought for himself.]

So it's sure been a while.  I know you like the water - figured the beach would be perfect.

  [Aqua smiled when she saw him] yes I’m ready and don’t worry about going slow, I think motorcycles are pretty cool [she said as she started walking over to the bike with him]

I brought this for you.  [Terrence handed her a helmet and revved the engine.]  Just hold on, okay?  [After the warning, he traveled at a comfortable pace, making sure not to drive quite as recklessly as he normally would.  Eventually, the two arrived at the beach.]

[Terrence took off his shirt and draped it over his arm.]  How about you find us a good spot on the sand?  I'll meet you with the drinks, then we can continue catching up with each other?

  "I had to go pick up a few things and thought I should walk. Bad idea. Wow, I haven’t failed one thing in engineering and I thought it would be smart to walk."

[terrasdeparture]

Well, my building is right over there.  [Points to a nearby residence hall.]  If you'd like, we I can take you the rest of the way on my bike.

  "I agree with you fully on that."

[terrasdeparture]

[Terrence shrugged.]  So what are you up to on a day like this?

  "Oh, it’s fine. Is it from being outside, or physical activity?"

[terrasdeparture]

Physical activity... sweating is the worst part of a workout.  [He laughed.]

  Moe scooted away from a bit when she saw that he was sweaty. The only thing that could be worse would be if he was covered in mud. 

[terrasdeparture]

[Terrence realized Moe felt uncomfortable and hurriedly put on the shirt that was draped over his shoulder.]  Sorry, I know I'm kind of gross right now.

"God it’s hot here."

[terrasdeparture]

You're telling me.  [Terrence plopped himself on a bench next to Moe.  He was sweating from just completing a workout at the gym.]

  "Me pay for you never? My dad of course will be glad too." He said with a smile. Fallon took joy in spending his dad’s money knowing his dad disliked it.

I still can't let you do that.  [Terrence chuckled.]  That's nice of you to offer...  I think?

  That’s fine with me, I’ll see you soon [She said with a smile and waved goodbye to him before heading to her dorm. It only took her a few minutes to clean up and get ready. She ended up deciding to wear a black and blue bikini with a pair of white shorts and a black t-shirt. She headed out of her dorm and walked down the stairs, tying her long hair back and putting on her glasses as she waited for Terrence to pick her up]

[Terrence appeared at Aqua's building on his motorcycle.  He parked it beside the sidewalk and walked up shyly to meet her at the door.  He wore a swim trunks, a thin tank top, and boat shoes.]  I made it here.  You ready to go?

If you've never ridden a motorcycle before I can go slow for you.

  Aqua thought over his offer before nodding slightly, “I could go for a drink or so, actually,” she said with a soft smile. She stepped back a little more and ran a hand through her long, dark hair before looking down at herself. “However, I’m a mess, if you want to stop by my dorm first, I can change and clean up a little..”

[Terrence smiled with a relieved sigh.]  Perfect.  Though, how about I get changed into something more fitting for the beach, like a bathing suit.  Then I can pick you up in front of your building on my motorcylce?  [Terrence raised an eyebrow.]  I-if that's alright with you.

  "He’ll find his way here soon enough," she told him as he finally pulled away from the hug. The woman stopped herself from getting too emotional, exhaling a deep breath as her green eyes met his brown. "Do you…" she trailed off, her heart pounding as her nerves got the best of her. What if he didn’t want to be around her? What if this was a fluke and he was just going to disappear again? "Do you want to go to the beach, get away from campus…grab a bite to eat and then just catch up?" she asked with a cautious smile

[Terrence noticed something uncomfortable about the way she looked at him, but he couldn't blame her.  It had been 4 years since they saw one another, they were still kids at the time.  He left her with no explanation, of course things would not be normal between them.  She offered to spend more time with him, however.  Knowing that she was willing to make things less awkward soothed his nerved.]

I would love to go.  [He offered a relieved smile.]  Um, how about I buy us a drink or two?  [Terrence offered as he would any girl, then regretted his words.  He wasn't sure how Aqua would react knowing that he was a frequent drinker, and now was a bad time to let that bad habit shine through.]
