Sparks Fly || Alice and Lovino
Raising an eyebrow at his somewhat hostile expression, Alice crossed her arms, lifting her chin a bit. “Can I help you?” she asked coldly. She acknowledged that he might be taken aback by coming across somebody in the hallways in the dead at night, but there was no reason for him to be staring at her with such… disdain. Besides, he was out and about too.
Waiting for a response, she turned back to remove the torch from it’s stand on the wall and used it to light two others in the vicinity. It didn’t exactly brighten up the hallway enough to be considered well-lit or bright, but it did somewhat lessen the ominous atmosphere between the two of them. By the looks of things, Alice didn’t want to be in total darkness with this fellow.
Once she had returned the torch to its post, Alice turned back to face the man, hands on her hips. She tilted her head expectantly.
"No..." he answered slowly, careful like a scared animal not to move too fast now. "No, I don't need any help." Lovino eventually added after a few moments of silence, his eyes still not leaving her after all and just watching how she made the hall a little bit lighter. It wasn't much and only made the total atmosphere a little bit better but at least it was something.
"Though...you could explain what you're doing out here at this time of the night." Lovino demanded, mimicing her slightly with his chin high up and the arms crossed as she had before, expecting an answer or even better an explanation for this kind of rather unusual situation.
