She took his hand and was helped out of the well. Dusting off her skirt, she replied with a more lighter tone, hoping to ease things up. “Believe me, I wish I didn’t have to do all of that.” she was referring to tests and important exams needed for school. She looked at him, as if her eyes were telling him to lead. “Are we going?” She looked towards the direction of Kaede’s village. “Y’know Inuyasha, it’s not bad to take a break once in a while and have some fun.” she turned to look at him again, “It helps you lighten up.” she sent him a smile.

Helping her out of the well, he gave a nod but still opted to mutter, "Then why do ya?" He only did what he wanted to or felt he had to and, quite frankly, he didn't see the point of these 'tests' or whatever it was she did in 'school' -- what did they do? What were they good for? He looked when she pointed. "Yeah," he answered, almost absentmindedly retaining his grip on her hand as he began walking. "Suppose we take a break and Naraku gets his hands on more shards of the jewel...then what?" he wondered. Relaxing would be nice, he had to admit, but he never felt like he could.

Kagome looked down the well, her book bag on her back. She was getting ready to leave back to the feudal era. She had taken a little longer than usual and was wondering what Inuyasha would tell her. She let her legs dangle off the edge and sighed before hopping down the well.

InuYasha was waiting at the well impatiently, pacing and the like. He wondered what made her think she could take so long when it would be damn near impossible to do anything productive without her. He failed to consider what important things might be in need of her attention in her time, but that could hardly be considered a surprise. Perhaps it was his imagination getting the better of him, but he thought he heard something in the well. He peered into it before he could think twice about the action and was rather pleased to see Kagome there. He expressed this with about as much eloquence as he could be expected to: “The hell took ya so long?”

She felt the familiar feeling of traveling back through time, the bright blue light surrounding her. After only about a minute of standing there, she heard Inuyasha’s voice from above sounding not too happy. She looked up at him and frowned, preparing herself to climb out of the well “I had stuff to do, Inuyasha.” she stated grumpily. She knew if she went in to details he wouldn’t listen and completely ignore her important words. “You know I’ll always come back when I need to, give me time.” she scolded.

He could hear the irritation in her voice when she responded, but he was irritated too. She had a point, however, and he knew arguing wouldn't speed things up any. The urge to retaliate wasn't one he could always restrain, but for now, he replied with a simple, "Feh...yeah, yeah." Expression not changing much, he offered her his hand to help her out of the well. "Just wish it didn't always seem to take so long..."

ooc; Pardon my slowness, I'm on several accounts...and now it's time to eat. So I'll be back in ten or twenty minutes 8)
