I recently took a trip up to Cowtown and visited the Ft. Worth Water Gardens.  They are super cool.  Also, super scary.  This is possibly the most dangerous park I’ve ever been to.  One slip and you’ve got a cracked skull at the bottom of a raging whirlpool.  Sweet, huh?

It’s a pretty neat detour on your backcountry excursion.

I have to repost this photo every once in a while, just because it’s so much America packed into one photo. Boy Scouts saluting a flag on horseback underneath a WWI statue during a rodeo parade. It cracks me up. It’s an 8-ball of patriotism straight to the vein of every red-blooded Texan-American.
