beach episode when
something so delicious about Emma already fully aware she's into women but Dana having an oh shit oh fuck what the fuck moment when Emma blinks up at her with those wide, trusting eyes.... something so delicious about having a lesbian awakening in ur 50s because of the adorable new nurse...
I watched the new "Devil wears Prada movie" today and I give it 6 out of 10 rating. (Note: I was tipsy while watching it in theater.) SPOILERS AHEAD
A lot of nostalgia bating with music and referances to the first film. Miranda is smiling a lot for some reason (the scene in the and where she reads Andy's draft of an article doesn't hit as much because of it). Emily is weird. Andy's boyfriend is unnesesary. Miranda flying in economy was a scene straight out of fanfic. Nigele's story was just sad. He stayed and IS staying with Miranda. Miranda's scene where she calls Nigele a "friend" is unearned and therefore cringe as hell. A lot has happened in this movie (Irv's death wtf was that). Emily's blonde hair in the end scared me.
I enjoyed a lot of Andy and Miranda scenes, but the writing overall was weak and I'm sad 'cause of it.

About to block the Samira Mohan tag bc y'all can't have a civil discussion without wanting Robby to kill himself.
Yes, he's a dick to her this season and it's not right. No, that doesn't mean he should jump off the roof. Yes, it's sad Supriya is leaving. No, it does not mean Noah Wyle is a racist misogynist. Ofc if it continues to be a pattern that only POC leave, we can have that discussion. But with many other poc on the show and the highlighting of languages and countries, I don't think we're there yet.
Joy, Perlah, Princess, Victoria, Trinity, Baran, Lupe, Kim, Yolanda, Noelle, Parker, Nazely, and Emma still exist. They're all from diverse backgrounds with even more diverse actresses. Each character has a fully fleshed out background. They're people. Not just there for the sake of diversity.
Just because your favorite character leaves doesn't mean you get to be an asshole. If I did this shit because Kiara isn't mentioned/there then I would look like a fool. But if it's Mohan, who has been looking for a fellowship since s1, it's suddenly okay? Make it make sense.
Do not call me a Samira hater because of this. She's my girlie too. I understand her being slower and I agree with her being good for geriatrics (my mom is a geriatric nurse, I've worked Neuro with dementia patients and medsurg with geriatric hip replacements and surgical intervention). It's not about her not fitting in the ED. She's amazing at being a doctor. But the pace of being at a TRAUMA hospital isn't the pace she goes at. Maybe a smaller ER? A Level II-V? We can talk.
Anyway. Happy Finale Week.
I need her old ass so gah damn bad.
lowkey thought robby was gonna adopt baby jane doe instead of going on sabbatical
remember how deborah always makes fun of ava's hands and then to make her jealous she complimented another young woman comic's hands in front of her. remember that. what was that
trinity changed into nicer clothes for karaoke.
did trinity have those cute clothes in her bag this whole shift? she picked out a cute little outfit to watch the fireworks with garcia? she planned to wear something to impress her situationship, and that was one of the reasons she was so intent on them being together that night?
ohhhh trinity, you are such a lover girl, even if you pretend to be above all that.
My opinions on s2. Eglish is not my first language, bear with me they are many mistakes here.
People are upset at writers of the pitt for forgetting women storiylines, but forget that whitaker does not have storyline at all this season. He does nothing if u think about it. We never even see him perform a medical procidure when it wasn't in a comedic setting. He does NOTHING. Same goes for McKay - her only story this season is her wanting to get laid and getting a date, but than she just disapiers for the majority of the season. And when you are watching episodes week after week you really don't notice it, 'cause you are invested IN the actual storylines that exist this season. But if you think about it, it is a problem with a lot of characters - they have no reason to be in the show. They act not like the series regulars, but as props and side characters. Nurse Jessy had more compelling story this season than McKay. And I am honestly pissed about it.
Charakters that were given storylines: Robby, Javadi, Al-Hashimi, Santos, Langdon, Mohan, Mel and Dana (and Emma as a prop for Dana's story).
Which... Out of all this charakters, the majority of their storys somehow united/became about Robby at some point.
Dana's story this season was all about her PTSD, struggles with mental health and feeling of hopelessnes when she could not protect her protege (Emma) and she got hurt, BUT it all got dropped in ep14 and all she talked about with Abbot was how to save Robby from killing himself.
Santos' story is about mental health struggles and about Langdon.
Langdon's storyline is about struggling with addiction BUT it's also about his reletionship with Robby.
Mel's story is about her sister.
Javadi's story is about her relationship with her parents and trying to understand herself and grow as a person. And Robby, who is trying to support her in his fucked-up way.
Samira's story is about finding herself, much like Javadi's. BUT it is also about Robby who is riding her and makes her mental health worse.
Al-Hashimi's storyline... you know what? Fuck it. I'm tired. IS ALSO REALLY HEAVILY CONNECTED TO ROBBY AND HIS ASSHOLE BEHAVIOR.
And look, I really didn't mind it. I actually think it is good represantation of how people who struggle can make it everyone else's problem (without meaning to). But when the fin of the s2 is literally 40 min of medical procedures, all of the other characters charting, all of the staff convincing robby not to kill himself... ja-da-ja-da... oh yeah, we hinted at Baran's health problem, probably should touch that... robby please don't kill yourself... fireworks.
You hear me? Like, Robby IS an accurate representation of mental health crisis. He actually reminds me A LOT of myself when I was at the lowest, struggling with depression, BUT FOR FUCKS SAKE YOU CAN'T JUST DROP OTHER PEOPLE'S STORYLINES WHEN IT IS CONVINIENCE FOR YOU.
Did Dana give a report to the police? She punched a patient, remember? I am glad that Javadi relised what she wants to do, but what about Samira? She just accepted geriatricts? Why? And it's all more sad, 'cause we won't even see her next season! Mel and Santos are friends now, great. I am glad they found each other, but fucking hell you can't hint at struggles with mental health all season and then do NOTHING about (Santos. self harm. You see what I am saying?).
And yes, it is only one day. But somehow you gave Robby a satisfaying exit from one season to another, but many other characters get two episodes of charting in the background and firework scene.
And I DID enjoy the last episode. But I really don't understand what many of this characters will do the next season. I see clearly an arc for Robby, Javadi, Al-Hashimi, Langdon and Mel. Everyone alse? I guess we will see.

I need Emma to come back in the season finale and give her wife a hug though for real.
