This blog is fresh off the "shower idea" presses so bear with us while we buff out the specifics

Wanna be convinced to ship something? Wanna do the convincing but can't find a victim buddy? That's what this blog is for!

Convince us!

Anyone can send an ask consisting of their thoughts on how their ship works, and we post it and add the text to the ship's main post!

There will be three types of relationship posts for each ship: platonic, romantic, and explicit (sorry to the secret-third-thing shippers, there's only so many categories we can maintain here, just go with what you feel is closest)

What we wanna see in an ask:

First; before the rest of the ask content, trigger warnings for what your explanation may contain (if trigger warnings apply)

Second; ship name, ship type (platonic, romantic, or explicit), and the continuity your explanation applies to (if relevant. Continuity soup and fan-works are allowed)

Third; your thoughts! Any type of explanation you want! Can be canon-interaction crumbs or your own home made scenario, whatever feels right to you!

Fourth; (if you want) a name you wanna be recognised by here!

In the case of asks with trigger topics, we won't be copying the ask to the ship's post, but will instead be adding a link to the posted ask with the warnings listed. Still part of the post! Just gotta go through the link to see it!

Now it should be a given, but a hard rule here is no ship bashing. That's kinda the opposite of the point of this blog.

If your ship explanation involves some flavour of ship bashing (for example Starscream having a bad relationship with Megatron before finding someone else) then that is allowed, but do try to keep the specifics vague, your explanation is supposed to be for your characters' current relationship, not their ex, y'know?

If there's any confusion or general questions the ask box is open for that too!

Lowkey we wanna submit our own ship thoughts all sneaky style because rambling is fun but we're struggling to gather a single thought for them other than "chemistry good", which.....like, you can submit anything, including something simple like that, but we wanna say MORE than that if we're gonna go through the effort of pretending we're not making submissions to our own blog (lol)

Ship: BrawnCeptor (Brawn, Perceptor)

Type: Romantic

If you've seen the G1 Season 2 episode "Microbots," then you probably know it for the scene where the Decepticons get white girl wasted and Megatron says "ass." However ☝️ it's also the episode where Brawn and Perceptor interact and Brawn learns to respect non-combatant roles in the war effort. Specifically, he ends the episode off by calling Percy a hero and I just think that's nice. Look, even TFWiki acknowledges this ship!

They're a classic Nerd/Jock pair, but specifically they're the ever so fun reversal of the usual size difference in those pairings. I love to imagine that Percy yaps at Brawn for hours and Brawn doesn't get 95% of what he's saying, but he just loves hearing him talk so passionately. Honestly, I don't have a ton to say about them otherwise, they're just a simple and comforting pair, but they're also CRIMINALLY underrated (like most G1 cartoon ships...)

I think they have way too much in common: leaders they don't fully agree with but follow anyway (and use their positions as sic for their own agenda. Ofc Ss is also trying to kill Megatron, but that just adds some contrast), sometimes being wronged by those leaders (and sometimes its rightful "wronging", the consequences to their actions), and then when the war ends and the power they worked for goes poof they both are the type to rush to secure strong positions, but their reputations from the war makes this difficult, and very few people are on their sides

I think at their core their goals align, with wanting Cybertron to thrive, and their methods can too, so its almost bizarre how much they clash, its fascinating to put them together and see where their differences stand out. Its also nice to see them discover each other as kindred spirits, and funny to see them continue to be terrible together ("make each other better"? Nah, "enabling the shit out of each other" is funnier)

Honestly when it comes to G1 and actually watching through it, I love Brawn and Perceptor together, its been a while, but I'm always shipping them by the end of the episode

So they're not exactly "mean," but they are my beloved trio of vain (Sunny), arrogant (Tracks), or otherwise uppity (Mirage) mecha. I like to imagine that they sit and gossip in the corner of the rec room. They help one another buff the hard to reach places on their frames. Sunny would deny ever considering the other two as his friends (even though he only trusts, like, one other mech to help him with his finish). Mirage would probably side eye Tracks so hard in like a "if you were really all that and a side of fries, you wouldn't have to boast about it" way. And Tracks would love having beautiful and/or noble mecha at his sides because it makes him look more impressive. They would bicker endlessly. I just think there's a lot of potential for humor alongside the genuine friendship they could have.

Never considered this trio as a friend group before but now we love them. These three come from decently different parts of the Autobot faction, so collectively their gossip would have a very wide range, hope no one annoying did anything embarrassing recently

Question: Can we send in propaganda for any ship at any time or do you want it to wait for the main ship post to have been released?

Alternatively, do you post the main ship posts after you get propaganda for it or will you be posting them as you feel like it or something?

Any ship can be sent at any time, if there's no main post for that ship then that'll be when we make one!
