dylan & tai.
* ・ ♛ ˙ ˖ ✶ –– tai’ashya was on her phone, as always, trying her best not to knock into one of the freshmen ‘cause the last thing they needed was an annoyed tai on their hands. tai aimlessly kept walking towards the engineering building with the other’s wallet in her hands. she assumed dylan didn’t hear when she dropped it? she wasn’t entirely sure it was her’s either, but it was near her bike so that was the best guess. “what a personal as fuck attack on my ass, dylan? i get it– i’m small, but i’m not that damn small,” she muttered as she narrowed her eyes. “this yours? ‘cause if it ain’t it’s mine now,” tai didn’t have the best morals.
it took dylan a split second to realize there was someone she actually knew following her and not some overgrown freshman. “you’re all the way down there, can you blame me?” she shot back, a laugh leaving the back of her throat. tai was cute --- she was short, pretty and dressed pretty damn well --- definitely much better than some 5′8 giant with combat boots. “uh, no, i don’t think so? actually, let me-,” she pauses, patting her pockets as if her wallet was magically gonna appear inside them before she swung her backpack back around and unzipped the front compartment, a sigh of relief leaving her lips. “nope, mine’s in here. although, i would probably recommend checking if there’s an id in there before you go swiper on their ass.”
dylan & lincoln.
bless his reflexes, for lincoln’s own steps managed to cease half a second following hers. a silent screen of the soles of his shoes to protest the abrupt change. he rallied up every ounce of plain ignorance he had in him to dismiss her tone, his head tipping a few degrees to the right in lieu of verbally responding to her initial reply. lincoln’s own voice remained its usual languid string of syllables. “ i’ve actually got nothing to do with the ball throwing ─- so no, i don’t. and even if i did, being a couple minutes late wouldn’t hurt. much. ” he followed with a pause, allowing his silent question to fill the air. would she even give him a couple minutes? lincoln blinked twice, then tacked on, “ how’ve you been? ”
the small echo that came from the sole of his shoes skidding to a sudden halt behind her caused a small smirk to grace dylan’s features. tilting her head curiously, she takes a step closer but still manages to keep an ample bit of distance between them. crossing one foot over the other, her eyes roll at his comeback. “ it’s been so long since i’ve actualy wanted to go to a game. remind me again what position you play? ” she made sure to stop showing up to the beloved prince college football games the second that lincoln had called off... whatever it was they were. and although dylan loved watching attractive men throw a ball around in tight pants, she refused to show her face in the stands, especially with the entire school chanting lincoln’s name; it was too much to deal with. at least for now. “ i’ve been better. it was a relatively slow summer at the shop but... i managed to some how finnese the wotech girls into a trip to paris so there’s that. i assume your summer consisted of booze, girls and football practices? ”
dylan & cooper.
it’s not that cooper had intended on both a) sneaking up on dylan without her realizing nor b) begin to follow her towards the engineer building, it was just that when the male saw her he figured he’d do what he did best: annoy the shit out of her until she finally agreed to ditch whatever the hell she was planning on doing to hang out with him. what he hadn’t expected ( though he totally should have ) was for her to bark off a comment to him before even turning to see who it was. “woah,” he laughed out, quickening his pace to fall in line with her. “thank the lord i’m not a freshman actually looking for directions or else i definitely would have just shit my pants.” cooper had been there – they all had – a wide-eyed freshman just trying to make their way through campus without getting lost for the fifth time. it wasn’t uncommon for underclassmen to ask for help or directions, cooper usually being more than willing to help, but evidently dylan wasn’t in the mood. “so, where are you headed off to and how much am i going to have to beg you to go somewhere else with me instead?”
it wasn’t unusual for cooper to find dylan somewhere on campus and pester her until she finally gave into him and did whatever the hell it was he wanted. not like she particularly minded --- unlike many others, cooper had weaseled his way into her heart. she wouldn’t necessarily call him charming but there was something about him that ended up meaning a lot to her. they were pretty good friends, probably more like best friends or even some sort of sibling dynamic ( dylan was an only child, maybe if she’d had a sibling around, she wouldn’t be so unhealthily lonely ). letting out an overdramatic sigh, she bit her lip the second cooper fell into stride with her but linked her arm through his regardless, showing just how much of an exception he was. “i actually kind of forgot that i’m the president of a club and i’m actually meant to be taking a second shift manning the wotech booth later today. the depression hours start at four pm exactly.” rolling her eyes, she glanced over at cooper as they walked, arching an eyebrow curiously. “i have class, dipshit. where else would i be going? i mean...” she shrugged lightly, clicking her tongue in thought. “i could be persuaded if you buy me food. i’m being easy today- you’re welcome.”

dylan & finn.
“even me?” finn asked, jogging to keep up with dylan. he’d been hopelessly lost when he caught sight of her through the fog, like some sort of apocalypse movie, and it was like fate that he’d run into her. he wasn’t sure why she was so annoyed, but then again that wasn’t exactly new for her. “i’m new. this campus is huge. i’m super lost.” he finally caught up to her, smiling over at her when i did. “c’mon, dylan-wan kenobi. you’re my only hope.”
“---- ... you’re the exception, not the rule,” dylan shoots back, arching an eyebrow towards him as he jogs over towards her. once he finally catches up, she keeps walking, allowing him to follow next to her, a snort leaving her nose as she realizes he’s got a map in his hands. “seriously? listen, if we’re gonna have this quirky little freshman/upperclassmen rendezvous going on, you’re gonna have to ditch the map.” grabbing the back of his backpack, she yanks him to a gentle stop, unzipping the front pocket and pulling out the highlighted schedule she knew he had. “you’ve got english composition one from nine fifteen to ten forty-five. the english building’s over there,” she pointed towards an orangey building that seemed lightyears away but finn had long legs and it was only eight-thirty. “please- if i’m anyone, i’m han solo, get it right.”
dylan & rick.
“yes, you seem very busy.” rick reached down to pick up his dog barking up at girl, a bit frustrated about having to run after it after someone smartly forgot to take care of it properly. rubbing the dog’s head, hazel hues shifted back to the girl. “and i think after three years i know my way around but thanks for trying to be helpful.” his tongue darted across his lips, sarcasm dripping down as per usually. he couldn’t help it, really. it was almost second nature. “tune it down, chica. we are all friends here.” as if per cue, his dog barks, causing a small chuckle from his end. “well, almost all of us.”
eyes widen slightly at the sight of a scruffy dog making it’s way towards her and for the first time that day, the girl’s features soften. her first instinct is to twist around and walk towards the male, hand reaching out to scratch behind the dog’s ears, a small smile gracing her features. “you know dogs aren’t allowed on campus, right?” she says it matter-of-factly as if she wasn’t hiding her own, rather large, dog in her and jo’s dorm. “where’d you get him?”
dylan & lincoln.
why he had thought it was a good idea to follow after her as soon as she walked past his eyeline was beyond him. there had already been a few futile attempts to speak to her that would have easily dwindled his self confidence had lincoln not worked relentlessly to keep it afloat ─ the chance of this going any different was slim to none. point blank. but before his conscience could talk sense into him, his feet carried lincoln to fall in line with her, both thumbs hooked halfheartedly underneath backpack straps as if to give him something tangible to hang on to. something physical to keep the rest of him anchored. “ you know, by your tone, one could almost assume you aren’t that into the sororities and clubs. ” although there’d been some humor interlaced in the syllables, the bulk of it was hesitant. frankly, lincoln wasn’t sure of what reaction to expect from her anymore.
the voice behind her was familiar --- too familiar. in fact, it had been the one voice she’d spent most of the summer trying to avoid ( relatively successfully, might she add ), at least until now. dylan didn’t want lincoln to know he had any sort of effect on her and typically, she could keep her cool but her legs decided to give her away as she came to a sudden halt, looking over her shoulder to look at the male. she still held resentment against him, probably a bit too much and the mere sight of him annoyed him --- even if her heart did flutter slightly knowing he was mere feet away from her. “ i’m not. you should know that better than anyone. there’s only one sorority girl i give a shit about and that’s indigo. ---- shouldn’t you be throwing some balls around or somethin’? ” she questioned, her tone laced with anoyance, shoving her hands into the pockets of her leather jacket.
knocking the kickstand down, long legs swung around and off the perfectly polished motorcycle. pulling her helmet off, dylan finally caught sight of her hair, running a hand through it nervously before grabbing her backpack and throwing it over her shoulder. the crowds of underclassmen around the beloved campus was... overwhelming to say the least. the start of her last fall semester should’ve felt more exciting; but it was cloudy, there was some sort of weird rainy mist surrounding the cobbled sidewalks and dylan was starting to regret wearing shorts. letting out an annoyed sigh, she began her trek towards the engineering building, quickly realizing someone had fallen into stride behind her. “the sororities and clubs have booths and guides for a reason, i don’t have time to tell you where to go, dude,” she shot back over her shoulder, gaze focused directly in front of her.
