“Puppy?” Acadia raised his eyebrow

“I told her if she kept the secret of the adoption she could have a puppy.”

“Mommy knows the secret now you can have your puppy.” Knox said with a smile

“Hi honey.” the man said kissing her forehead

“I heard you and mommy talking.” The five year old said

“Come here.” he said opening his arms picking her up

“I love you.” She whispered before hearing little footsteps. “Daddy?”

“I love you so much.” he said “I thought I put you to bed, baby girl, everything okay?”
