Another weird clip at the wall.
I don't think that I will ever understand how the wall works in tekken.
Sneaky snacker under suspicion while writhing chrysalis gets to live at large makes my heart boil. Mr. Verhey says that even seeker of skybreak lists were playing snacker! But! What else were they playing Mr. Verhey? What RG 4 drop were they playing?
The 2 large tournaments before the August b&r have come and gone with 4 copies of sneaky snacker top8ing between them. I'm not sure exactly what metrics they were keeping tabs on, but honestly, I don't anticipate a snacker ban.
I don't think the card isn't strong, and I will admit that I was being dramatic in this post. Personally, I think the format/metagame is very fun and fairly open right now, and that bans are unecessary. And though I will say I don't like chrysalis, I think the same goes for any heavily played strong card, including snacker. Players are bound to get tired of it.
Definitely wanna take a look at some of these players runs, as well as the decklists, because I was surprised to see no red madness or blue terror top8 at all. Maybe there'll be some deep dives on youtube in the next week or so too.

I have a one sided rivalry with anyone I see more than once on ranked.
What did they do to the Strive starter guide narrator? Robo-Ky must be his favorite character, I've never heard him this excited.
I really hope Robo-Ky isn't the only robot coming to Strive in season 5.
His signature move. Also wtf happened in that last chapter ohhhh my godddd.
My best guess is the damage to his brain caused that hysterical strength limiter to turn off, but it still left a bad taste in my mouth. It feels like an asspull, even if it was "hinted" at a few volumes earlier. I think the whole thing just felt out of place, especially since Manuk and Mutou died a bit more ceremoniously.
And of course the magazine chapter starts a flashback...
It takes me so much effort to find any character I don't play in a fighting game cool. I feel like a picky eater.
Somewhat proud of this leo round. I need to fix this habit I have of pressing 3k instead of 6k. My finger stays on the diagonal because my brain wants to keep charging, but then I drop the combo anyway. Also the gold burst was questionable, but I guess I didn't expect their 2d to whiff and tried bursting to keep corner.
Looking at your gameplay after the fact really does help... noticing all the little mistakes I made even in a kinda one sided round.
Reread Out.
This is possibly one of the dumbest series I have ever read and I say that with all the affection in the world. Like it's got 2 separate canons and 4th wall breaks, takes years to go anywhere because of its millions of flashbacks and barely has a main character, but it has hella hype moments and aura. I think it deserves way more recognition than it gets. Also It's supposedly based on a true story, but I don't think it lasts more than 3-4 chapters before it gets so outlandish that there is no way I can believe its true.
Reread World Trigger.
Its one of those series that I'll have to every once in a while. With a monthly release and frequent hiatus, its easy to forget what happened (not to mention the large amount of characters). Plus, I just am a big fan.
The nago and aba changes can lead to some weird almost ToD scenarios.
Still working on not dropping combos myself. We'll get there eventually.
Its not even a grab anymore!
Ignore the dropped combo.
2.0 is a pretty good patch imo. Definitely having to rethink my strategies a bit. The new vanquisher ranks are kinda motivating me, I want to try my hardest to at least get to 1600. That means I'll have to start winning games.
Saw another clip of some yrc jank and it reminded me of this old clip I have. Was 100% not intentional, but we take those.
Very excited to try out the new ggst patch.
Removing Wild Assault is a interesting change for sure. Though I'm not sure how powerful counter blitz will be. I'd bet Lucy can do some crazy stuff with it and the counterhit quickhack.
All the new moves look cool, I think its funny that Sol gets Ky's old lightning javelin.
Can't wait to see the full patch notes.
Is playing a counter pick character on ranked just a pointless venture?
I picked up Leo in ggst as a counter pick for some of my losing matchups, though I probably wouldn't have done it if I didn't also think he was cool as hell. But I just never can get the matchups I wanna actually sink a bunch of time into on Leo naturally on ranked, despite how much I run into them on Axl. I guess it doesn't help that those matchups add up to just less than a third of the cast.
All that said, Leo is still super fun, and I don't have all that much riding on my competitive success, so I don't really care about being super productive. Maybe I should go to the park? Do people still go to the park?
