Solargram made from late June to early August of this year, 2013. The image was made on black & white photopaper using a pinhole camera and a month + exposure time. The image was then inverted using photo-editing software (gimp).

"Blue Train" Cyanotype, I received an "honorable mention" in my school art show for this print. It's an alternative photographic process. I made the giant negative necessary for a contact print by scanning a black & white negative, and printing it on an overhead projector transparency film. #cyanotype #alternativeProcess #traditional #filmPhotography
"Road to Salamander Pond" Cyanotype, I received an award of excellence in my schools art show for this photograph. It's a alternative process, cyanotype, (blue print). I took the photo using black & white film. #cyanotype #ThomasFleming #alternativeProcess #traditional
In an era when cellphone cameras and digitally manipulated images dominate photography, a group of Montana hold-outs still prefer the classical approach.
"All Aboard" Elijah and a train, Fort Missoula. I recently found out that this train was the train used in the 1955 movie "Timberjack!" http://cdn101.iofferphoto.com/img/item/181/951/017/timberjack-1955-sterling-hayden-vera-ralston-2a5c9.JPG

Famous and Influential photographers.
I'm an Information Technology student who has a minor addiction to photography. Despite having been an amateur photographer sense I was child, I took an introduction to black & white photography class in the spring of 2012. My instructor David J. Spear truly inspired me. Sense then, I've been working with the analogue chemical process as well as digital mediums. I've decided to compile a list of famous photographers, contemporary and historical. I'll add to the list as time and attention span allow. I generally spend a little time googling the images produced by the respective photographer. This list will start with no particular order. Kim Ramberghaug, (a personal friend) David J. Spear, (My college photography instructor, a great photographer and friend!) Eugene Atget, Elliot Erwitt, Bill Brandt, Lotte Jacobi, László Moholy-Nagy, Jacques Henri Lartigue, Robert Doisneau, Elliott Erwitt, Nick Veasey, William Eggleston, Anna Atkins, Ian Ruhter, John C. H. Grabill, Philippe Halsman, Jerry N. Uelsmann, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Lee Friedlander, Robert Adams, Ansel Adams, Nancy "Nan" Goldin, Rinko Kawauchi, Robert Frank, Carleton E. Watkins, Alfred Stieglitz, Margaret Bourke-White, Vivian Dorothea Maier, and ... More to come, feel free to make suggestions
