Notice: Temporary Abandoning Blog

Hello there. Yesterday I returned online from my hiatus. Though, during my absence I have decided on a slightly different fate for this blog than I described in my previous post.

I have decided to put this blog “on hold”. Not abandoning it yet, but for a while, it will behave similar to that of being abandoned (not that it hasn’t already been, whatcha talkin about). I have completely moved to my Main blog, and will be posting my art there.

Also decided to leave this blog exactly as it was, not deleting or editing any posts. Maybe perhaps someday some of the oldest posts will be deleted? But otherwise, no.

Well, I guess I’ll see you on my main blog, then! Or alternatively, I am planning on reviving my Deviantart, so you can keep an eye on it if that catches your fancy more. Cya at those places!

Hey there, just writing to say that I’ll return to activity in a month. I’ll be leaving to a relative on the 18th. By the time I’ll return I’ll be drawing quite daily, and I’ll love to share things I’ll think will be worth seeing!

After I’ll return, I will also start reblogging resources to this blog, like tips, tutorials, and such. I think it’s going to be a good thing to do. I will also clean up my blog a little bit. Nothing major, but i will delete a few artworks from the earliest days, and maybe slightly edit a few comments underneath some artworks. You’ll have a month in case you want to go back and see everything in their original versions.

Another thing to note, after coming back, I am going to allow myself full freedom in what I’ll be doing on this blog. That means i will experiment, try out a few new things, and see what works best for me. That being said though, anything I’ll do is still going to be related to art and my creations. I’ll be doing this because it just feels like my previous way of taking care of this blog needs slight changes.

HTTYD is like pokemon, once I watch something HTTYDy i can easily get into the httyd mood and start drawing things related to it for a short while. This whole page took me 3 hours to make O: gosh. Its contents should ideally make no sense to the viewer! Because they very much carry no sense in them whatsoever, and shouldn’t be read into too much.

I’ve made a self-imposed challenge for myself that started today. Every day I’ll need to draw at the very least one page filled with any kind of sketches, like this one, no matter what happens during that day. This challenge will continue until I’ve gotten accustomed to sketching at least a little bit every day without forcing myself to. Basically, it should continue forever, without a single day to be missed. Not every day the sketches should be clean and coherent. They can even be simple warmup doodles and ideally study sketches. I know I don’t have a whole lot of time to draw / self-study art but I found out that if I draw at least one page a day I feel so, so, so much better overall. So, it’ll now be done every day!

These works, however, will not be uploaded consistently, many not even uploaded at all. I don’t want consistent uploading to be the incentive to keep to this daily activity. I want to train my discipline with my own will power.

Here’s the latest design for my character Noisia. Artwork worked on on and off since March 15th till May 8th. I’m very proud of how it came out!

Those who are not familiar with her, she’s been around since mid-2008 and underwent many design and role changes, having to bear all of the stupid shenanigans of my teenage years. This is her latest design, but I’ve been brainstorming on a few more changes, especially the shoulder “tattoo”, which these days irks me a lot the way it is now.

She’s technically an inactive character now, but i seem to keep her close to heart, and she’s pretty well developed, so i like to draw and think about her interacting with my other ocs occasionally.

This work was done as a notice for my soon to be inactive flight rising account’s profile. I decided not to nuke all of my belongings there, just in case, but the making of this artwork pretty much marks the day I finally decided to leave that site with full determination. As soon as this baby goes live on my profile I will have high tailed out of there. By my plans that should happen next week, even if some of my current auctions don’t sell.

I really am proud of how it came out even though without the text it looks much less finished ;v;

A Vampire dragon exhibiting some physical features from its original breed, in this case, a Nhiostrife, as per a conversation I had with someone over at the DC Forums. It was a mistake to make this sketch look more fancy, I swear.

I created a Dragon sona (and naturally she’s a lot like Thal). Not sure what her future will be but I’m happy to have her around right now!

This is like the first time ever I drew a Booty (I’m-)

Like two weeks ago I made a post on my main blog saying I drew a booty for the first time and it was this oNE; I’m sorry i’m submitting this only now, I got  distracted a lot by irl things. It’s for a reference for my character / sona, Thal, but I honestly think I’ll have to redo it from scratch now, because it’s not actually a very good reference. Mainly because I didn’t manage to draw the face too well. Even I wouldn’t understand how to draw her face by looking at this image. But it was a good learning experience, as I never tried drawing a creature, then copying the lineart and editing into a back view like this before. Next time I do that it’ll come out much better. This wip will remain unfinished.

My character Thal cosplaying as a Gemshard Breed from Dragcave.net, drawn before the adult form of said breed was revealed. This doodle’s purpose was to let me draw as messy and quickly as possible, because I’ve been drawing too slowly and too accurately lately. It was amazing practice and helped me a lot.

Another Change of Uploading style + Username change

I have decided that posting art to two different places on the same website is just too tedious. Previously I stated that I would be posting all of my art to my personal blog and would only reblog to this blog the best of my works, but that didn’t quite work well. I apologize for that. From now on I’ll be posting all of my art again to this blog, like before, but just to let you know, the ‘artwork’ tag on my personal blog sometimes may still contain little artworks. Most often they’re just reaction doodles I draw for conversations though, because I apparently tend to do that for some reason. As a compensation for my indecisiveness on where to post my art to, I’ll submit two new artworks right now, and hopefully more will follow very soon.

A Username change on this blog shall also take place tomorrow, from Tailed-workshop to TailedThiefArt. It will, of course, also be a placeholder username for the time being until I’ll think of something better, but hey at least it contains TailedThief in it, which links it to my Main blog at least a little bit.

Change of Uploading style

I have made the decision that from now on I shall not be posting all of my art to my Art Blog. Instead I shall be posting it all under the #Artwork tag on my main blog, Tailed-Thief. On the rare occasions when I'll feel like I really was successful at a certain artwork, I shall reblog it to this blog.
