When Katia visited, he welcomed her into his home, knowing that Thalia would want her near. They were sisters and he knew what it was like to have siblings. Even though he was hidden from most of them, he was close to his older brother once, and if he had been stronger, he would have kept their father from murdering him. He didn’t tell Thalia any of this though. Instead, he set the table for three and prepared meals for three people. But with Katia gone, it was back to a different problem. He looked over at the fae and then covered his hand over his glass, signalling to the bartender that he didn’t want another round.
“Even if someone does, their mistakes will look like a badge of honour.” He spoke somewhat cryptically, even though he knew that he was talking about bashing their face in if they did. Ruslan liked his outfit today and he wanted to impress Thalia.
The bartender was quick to deliver her drink that Thalia opted to intake it rather than reply right away to the lamia. She doesn’t understand why he was sticking around with her when there were plenty of other people to mingle with. She doesn’t need babysitting, she was fine and used to being on her own. The fae drinks half her glass before settling it back onto the bar counter. “A part of me kind of wants to see that.” she said at first. “What if I just...” She lifts her glass and swirls it around as a means to potentially spill it on him. “—You know, you don’t have to stay here Ruslan, you can leave me be.”Â
