Wooden deck for my 1/600 Airfix Iron Duke
Started a restoring project today this Soviet S-51 self propelled gun. I got this all glued together by the previous owner and he made a series of mistakes which are easy to correct. He mounted the back stairway the wrong side up and some more little things which are easy to correct. Already dislodged the gun from the mount and the top recoil cylinder.
The Soviet self propelled gun got some colors I used a base coat of Russian Green and some modulation with Russian Green Vajejo air and some sand yellow ( just a drop ). Also working on the tracks which where painted with Track primer and then track wash mixed with some European earth pigment let’s see where that will bring me!
The tracks came out satisfactory they look old and rugged! The undercarriage got a salt bath and some flat earth over spray. Pin wash and dry brushing gave some body to the rest of the hull and canon.
It’s all acrylic only the dark pin wash is oil based.
Excuse my ignorance; but what’s a salt bath and what does it do?
Love your content btw, always looks great.
Still haven't decided what flag to go with for this flag on the back of my British sherman.
Some painted green stuff stowage (bag and roll); made ages ago before I really knew how to use green stuff, still pretty happy with the result.
First of my space marine Raptors.
Ready for weathering and decals.
Testing wallfiller as mud on my Frankenstug dummy, over the top but it was a test to see the effects.
2ic, thicker basing.
Been trying out that ol’ green stuff; sticky, but the results are quite nice.
You can also see where I accidently left a gap in the plastic and had the opportunity to test out filling it with Green Stuff.

British Rifle Company HQ command team. Quite happy with this, lots of time spent but definitely worth it.
Pretty happy with this artillery staff team. Occasional leaf leakage.
Finally got a colouring I'm actually happy with, unfortunately the textures all gone because of how many paint layers I've used, but that's why this is a test piece.
Test desert base, first time using wall filler to make basing. Mostly happy with the colouring.
Temporarily done, gonna get some decals, then I'm gonna muddy it up and put some Hessian strip-like camo on it to make up for the lack of stowage.
My first and second attempt at painting Stug G assault guns (a.k.a. tanks), second one is tenscore better than the first.
