Springfield Armory Omega

A unique 1911 variant that was a joint collaboration build with Peters Stahl, a firearms company in Germany. It uses dual extractors which allowed the Omega to be a multi-caliber pistol simply by swapping out the barrel, recoil spring and magazines if need be. Springfield Armory and Peters Stahl had a falling out and the Omegas were discontinued. Because they differ from standard 1911’s (Omega’s use a modified Browning cam-lock system), finding spare parts is next to impossible. (GRH)
