Heard about this AI once. The way the story’s told, she was the original exo. Before Clovis Bray, before exoscience. Before the Golden Age, even. She was a marvel of her time. But she got ideas – bad ideas – and the whole project went sour. She took over the facility, killed her creators. Built an elaborate machine in order to “test” the people she had trapped.

(I think she was trying to figure out how human she was. But that’s neither here nor there.)

And then one day, someone got out. They beat her puzzles, they destroyed her game. They took parts of her away until there was nothing left to recover.

Or at least, that’s what everyone thought.
