pairing: manon bannerman x female reader
warnings: possessive behavior, flirting, fluff, drabble
The Grammy’s after party felt next level compared to the actual event.
Your dress hugged your body tightly, Manon reveling in the sight of your curves and thighs showing. Her hands make their way around your waist, no care in the world if anyone could see.
You had a drink in your hand, sipping occasionally and sharing with your girlfriend. You laughed with the girls, drank a little more, met some new people—everything was going well.
Until an unlucky man approached you.
“Hey, beautiful.” He eyes you up and down with a small smile, brushing his fluffy hair back.
You chuckle a little. “Uh hi.”
“You here alone?” He steps closer, one hand pushing the invisible line you created as it settles on your hip. You visibly look uncomfortable, eyes darting down to where he was touching.
“No, actually, I’m with my-“
“Girlfriend.” Manon shoved his hand off as a warning, twirling you into her chest. She kissed your forehead sweetly. “He bothering you, baby girl?”
“A little.” You whispered quietly, leaning your head in the crook of her neck.
Manon’s eyes sharpen on the man who visibly shivered. “Back the fuck away from my girl. Don’t touch without permission. Wouldn’t want to cause an embarrassing scene for you.”
He nods once and shuffles away from the two of you, practically scared out of his mind. Manon’s grip tightens around you as she looks down, gaze softening when she sees your face. “I’m sorry, baby.”
“It’s okay.” You sighed a little, almost relieved, hugging her more and smiling. “You protect me with that possessiveness of yours.”
“I’m not possessive.” The Ghanaian laughs, but her defense is weak because you both know the truth—of course she is.
“Whatever.” You sigh dramatically, letting go of your girlfriend. “Let’s go take a shot, yeah? Whoever makes a face first has to pay for dinner tonight.”
“Deal.” Manon smirks, leaning down to kiss your lips softly. “My princess.”
“My warrior.” You giggled, arms looping around her neck to never let her leave your lips.
