I love how in Albanian we didn’t loose the meaning of “i love you” There are 3 different ways to represent your emotions. “Te kam xhan” - the one you say to a friend. “Te dua” - the one you say to the closest people in your life. “Te dashuroj” - the one you say to your soulmate.
See, people might have lost the meaning to those words but the emotions behind them are still there. There are still people who love and mean their words. That’s why I love saying “I love you” in albanian, because you can say it in different ways but the meaning is still the same.
