“Why’d you try to take on four zombies at once? By yourself?”
Tommy shot him a sharp look. “I’m just traveling.”
“When I travel,” the kid said slowly, “I don’t usually take an escort of flesh-hungry monsters with me. Could I have my crossbow back, please?”
Tommy did not hesitate before he passed it over. He definitely did not think about how cool the weapon had felt, and how nice it had been to finally be able to hit something from more than five feet away.
“Thanks.” The kid slung the crossbow across his back, then grinned suddenly. “I’m Tubbo, by the way. What’s your name?”
