Star SweeperĀ ā
Joe couldnāt help but smile when Sam agreed with him, glad that even if this wasnāt his specialty, he could help keep Sam safe. He knew they could probably buy their way to an extent, with their abilities. A part of him wanted to point that out. That Joeās gift couldnāt keep them hidden, but if they helped people they might be helped in return.
But the thought of asking for help and putting someone else in danger made him sick. He knew he couldnāt do it, not unless their lives depended on it.
So instead he nodded slowly,Ā āWe can do it. I uhh, I might have a few ideas how to hide myself. These,ā He tugged at one dread lightly,Ā āArenāt exactly easily forgotten. Itāll help.ā He made his way around to the passangerās seat as they spoke,Ā āBut we can work on that later. Itās too early, to try an figure out how to make myself wellā¦Pull a you, even if itās only once.ā
It was a strange way to put things, but it was true, Joe realized as he looked over to the other,Ā āAnd yāknow, I wouldnāt mind being a nobody. Not if I got to be with you, at least.ā
Sam settled himself into his seat, yet to think about roaring the engine to life just yet. Even if they could only have a few moments, he would gladly make the most of those before starting on this terrifying adventure again. He was taken aback, for a very brief moment, thinking about Joe cutting off his dreads. Sure, it made a lot of sense, but he knew how much Joe loved them and worked on neutering them.
āTurning in his seat, Sam gently ran his hand down Joeās face, taking a thick dread in his hand for a moment before returning to Joeās face, a loving smile finding his lips. āYouāre never a no one to me. You never have been and especially not now.. That you know how I feel about you.ā His voice was soft, but serious. So much had happened since they were in the hospital and they had actually yet talked about any of it.. At least not what was happening between them both. It was just accepted that this should have happened a long time ago.
