Sex: Headcanon
Sex
Nancy recalls their first time; Unplanned, unsure and desperate. Eager hands fumbling with buttons and belt buckles. Hot moans and sweat-slicked skin, pressed flush against one another in the back of Jonathan's Ford LTD. Nancy recalls the tinny echo of the rain that night as it beat down against the roof of the car. Jonathan hard and rigid, buried deep inside of her, thrusting into his lover with almost the same intensity as the heavy, torrential down-pour.
Jonathan recalls Nancy biting down on his lower lip, head thrown back in ecstasy as she begged him... “harder, deeper, faster.” He recalls the way in which they came together, Nancy all but screaming Jonathan's name as she felt him cum inside of her. He recalls the minutes afterwards, as they lay together, sprawled across the back seat of his car; A mass of tangled, sweaty limbs and tired eyes. Jonathan recalls the comfortable silence and watching as his lover succumbed to sleep, but most of all, Jonathan recalls the afterglow and the sound of the rain, cheering them on.
Kissing: Headcanon
Kissing
In Jonathan's mind, their first kiss had been something of a blur. Fast, messy and adrenaline fuelled; all he really remembered was backing Nancy up against the passenger side of his beaten up Ford and kissing her with every fibre of his being.
They had argued in the empty school parking lot. Nancy furious that Jonathan would even consider turning down a scholarship to NYU. She had accused him of being too scared of failure and rejection to follow his dream. Jonathan had implied that when it came to Steve, Nancy had settled; she was just as scared as he was. Nancy had shoved him. Her hands against his chest were all it had taken before he found himself pressed against her. Nancy's lips were soft against his own and he could feel every nerve in his body stand on edge as her fingers found their way through his hair. He had wrapped his arms around her waist and panted against her mouth, hungry for more.
When the kiss ended, they had remained close; his forehead rested against hers and with shy smiles, their eyes finally met. “I am.” Jonathan had croaked, the first to break their silence.
“You're what?” Nancy questioned, confusion etched across her features.
“Scared.” He had admitted with Nancy's fingers still subconsciously threading themselves through his hair.
“Of rejection?” she asked. Her eyes were sad now and her heart heavy. Realisation had finally hit her and it was crippling.
“Terrified.” Jonathan whispered, eyes closed.
Nancy's hands finally left his hair and came to cup his face. “Don't be.” she had smiled, before capturing his mouth with hers, pulling him in to another kiss. This one had been gentle, tender and in Jonathan's mind, their second kiss had been the one to remember; the one where Jonathan Byers finally got the girl.
Hugging: Headcanon
Hugging
Jonathan Byers had never been much of a “hugger”. He was a loner, a recluse, an introvert. Hugging made him uncomfortable and that was just the way it was. He rarely hugged, save for his Mom or Will. So, when Nancy Wheeler had approached him at his locker and engulfed him in a warm embrace, he had found himself frozen to the spot. Unknowing of what to do and not wanting to be further labeled a creep or a perv, he had kept his hands by his sides and stood quietly, waiting for her to release him. She had looked confused and a little deflated by his reaction. “Is-uh... is everything okay? I didn't over step a boundary did I?” she asked.
“No, I just, I wasn't expecting it. That's all.” Jonathan had rubbed the back of his neck, feeling awkward and utterly out of place; people were staring. Girls like Nancy Wheeler did not give people like Jonathan Byers the time of day, let alone a hug.
“I wanted to say thank you...” she smiled shyly. “You know, for the mix tape. I love it.”
Jonathan had nodded, words escaping him completely and a small smile playing on his lips.
“Thank you, Jonathan Byers.” She had chuckled, sensing his ever growing discomfort and anxiety. Then, as quickly as she had appeared, she had turned on her heel and walked away, disappearing back into the crowd of busy students, eager to make it to their next class on time.
“You're welcome, Nancy Wheeler...” he sighed.
you love her.
Showering: Headcanon
Showering
Their first Valentines Day as a couple is spent at the Wheeler's. Nancy's parents are away for the weekend, attempting to reignite lost passions (Nancy shudders at the thought) and Mike is with their grandmother. Nancy and Jonathan spend the day together; they drive out to the woods, determined to change the significance of a place that had previously held so much sorrow and agony. They shoot at cans and Jonathan takes photographs (mostly of Nancy). They hold hands, they kiss and Jonathan wraps his jacket around Nancy's shoulders as she shivers against the crisp February air.
When they return to the Wheeler residence later in the evening, Nancy takes Jonathan by the hand and leads him upstairs to her bathroom. They're both grubby from their adventures and Nancy kisses his cheek, whispering that she doesn't want to shower alone. Jonathan's cheeks flush pink and he stumbles over his words before finally meeting her eye. “Okay.” he nods. His hands are shaking and his mouth is suddenly dry; they've never done anything more than make out before and maybe a little groping if Jonathan is entirely honest. This is new territory for both of them.
When they step into the shower, they're silent. Exposed and unsure, Jonathan steps forward and wraps his arms around Nancy. The water cascading down their backs is warm and soothing; it calms Jonathan's nerves somewhat. It's enough for him to trace her jaw with his thumb and tilt her head up toward him. He leans down and presses a kiss to her lips, their eyes close and they mould in to one another, contented. Jonathan decides there and then that he never wants to shower alone again.
Driving: Headcanon
Driving
Their first week of college, Jonathan and Nancy had made the drive to New York together. Jonathan was headed for NYU and Nancy, Yale. With the windows down and the radio up, they had taken to the high way; both cheering in celebration as they passed the Hawkins city limit sign. With one hand on the steering wheel and the other linked with Nancy's, Jonathan had smiled and lifted his girlfriend's hand to his mouth to brush a quick kiss against her knuckles. “Scared?” He had asked.
“After everything we've been through?” she smirked. “This is nothing.”
Sleeping: Headcanon
Sleeping
The first night that Jonathan Byers had stayed over at the Wheeler's, Nancy hadn't slept. Not one wink. She had laid awake all night; every creak and every clunk of her family home filling her heart with terror. She was sure that she would never quite be the same again. She was scarred; mentally, physically, emotionally... so utterly broken. Nancy Wheeler could not and had not slept. She had, however, spent the majority of her evening watching Jonathan sleep. She had watched the way he rolled on to his front and tucked his right arm under the pillow. The way his hair fell in to his eyes and the way his mouth hung open ever so slightly. He wasn't a snorer and his breaths were quiet and shallow. She watched his nose twitch in his sleep and she almost smiled at the way he buried his face a little further in to her pillows.
Nancy swears she heard him that night; heard him whispering her name in his sleep, barely audible and almost none existent. She had reached out to brush away the hair from his eyes, her fingers hovering inches from his face before she had snapped back to reality. What was she doing? She had Steve Harrington and this, well... this was Jonathan Byers. So, no... Nancy hadn't slept that night but she had certainly fallen in love.
Cooking: Headcanon
Cooking
On the rare occasion that Nancy spends the night at the Byers', she slips out of bed early. She's always careful not to the disturb a sleeping Jonathan as she disentangles herself from beneath his heavy limbs. She'll throw on one of Jonathan's t-shirts and make her way to the kitchen, always taking one extra long stride over the still barely there stain in the Byers' hallway. They had hauled up the carpet long ago but the floorboards still bore the scars of that night.
Joyce leaves early for work on Saturday mornings. Nancy likes it that way; An uninterrupted hour in which she is able to whisk eggs, sift flour and allow her brain to switch off, just for a little while. Nancy loves to cook, especially breakfast and especially for Jonathan. The first time she had made Jonathan pancakes he had seemed puzzled, suspicious even. His brow knit together and lips pursed “I didn't know you could cook.” he had stated.
“I'm full of surprises, Byers.” she had replied, spearing a fork in to the top of his pancakes. “Dig in.”

Holiday: Headcanon
Holiday
Nancy buys Jonathan the ugliest Christmas sweater he's ever had the misfortune to receive. Its bright green body and candy stripe arms are uncomfortable and they itch every inch of his skin. Jonathan smiles and wears it with pride anyway, because it's from Nancy and while he may not love the gaudy Christmas attire; he loves her.
The Byers spend Christmas evening with the Wheelers in an effort to support their children. There's an open fire, a tree draped in Christmas lights and for the first time in a long time, Jonathan doesn't flinch as they flicker on and off. He simply reaches out for Nancy's hand and smiles, eyes meeting hers from beneath messy bangs. Nancy smiles back and wraps her arms around him. “Merry Christmas.” she whispers and kisses his cheek. Jonathan thinks about the coming year and knows that with Nancy Wheeler by his side, they'll conquer every demon they face.

just a small jancy headcanon i have (•‿•) *:・゚✧
in episode 6, after the night they ‘spent’ together, as it happened at her home, Nancy changed her clothes the day after, and Jonathan couldn’t of course. BUT i noticed that Jonathan was not wearing his striped sweater anymore, only his black t-shirt under his flanel shirt ;
the last time we see the sweater is on Nancy’s shoulders when she relaxs and finaly feels safe in her bedroom. and a few minutes later, we can see it again just on the top of a wicker basket
two possibilities: he left the sweater behind at her house, or he took it with him to leave it in his car. i am all for the first option tbh. here my headcanon —as Nancy woke up before Jonathan (or didn’t sleep at all after what happened to her), she tried to keep her mind busy… at some point, she put her own dirty clothes into the washing-machine and did the same with Jonathan’s sweater, as it probably got dirty too when he placed it on her shoulders. once all clean and dry (she takes care of their clothes herself because doesn’t want her mother to ask about them) Nancy doesn’t give the sweater back to him. And Jonathan never asks to have it back tho. i like to think that on occasion, alone in her room, she likes to wear his sweater ; because it is way too big for her and feels comfy ; because it reminds her of his hand on her back and his ‘i got you’ ; because despite the washing it still smells like him ; and because it is the best relaxing item she has when she wakes up after a nightmare, wrapping herself into it.
tl; dr: his sweater becomes her ‘comfort blanket’
