Knowing that flash is a bad idea for a photo on the day and it might hurt Meltan’s eye with it, Dai turned it off and showed the camera. It wasn’t just a phone, but THE phone used for multitask like checking stuff on the internet about pokemon, taking photos, socializing and calling home. He had just a a puzzle app to play when bored, and he’s thankful Lightning – his Jolteon – is chill enough to charge it several times during a travel.
“Here you go” he focused on the little Meltan and pressed the screen.

“Mom’s going to cry, I found a Meltan!” joy was the perfect word to describe Daisuke’s feelings. He sent a text message with a photo to his mother, hoping to hear her opinions in the next few minutes.
Searching about the pokemon specie, he found a bit of info.
“Oh you like to eat metal, right buddy? I’m at least glad my phone has no metal on it… I couldn’t lose it, y’know. But if I can find something like a metal food and I find you again I’ll definitely bring you a treat!”
Meltan stared at the boy as he pulled out his phone. Oh, malasada human had a device like that too. It gave a nervous squeak as the phone was pointed in its direction, but other than a weird noise nothing seemed to happen.
The human sure looked happy though! Meltan squeaked cheerfully, waving its tiny arms in the air. Metal? Food? It moved closer to Daisuke when it heard that word, staring up at him with its one eye expectantly. A voice caught its attention, and it turned to spot the malasada human running towards them.
“Meltan!” Hau held out his hands and smiled as the tiny Pokemon jumped into them before turning his attention to Daisuke. “Ah, I’m sorry if this little guy bothered you! I let him out of my sight for a minute and then he was gone!”
He poked the squishy body of the Meltan, watching it jiggle slightly. “I dunno how these guys got here, I just found this one in my bag the other day. He’s so tiny though, I don’t want him to get hurt!”
