Artemis: Oh you're so scary :p I'm sure it wasn't really that hard to figure out since you know my dad.

Ryan: This conversation can go way south.

Ryan: Well someone told me to call him Mr. Boyd once and seeing as he's my boss I did. But now I don't really call him any name. I just talk.

“I also seem to recall that time that I got that awful virus that made me puke my guts out for three days and you refused to leave even when I was gross. So suck it up,” she told him. “Doris. She’s already very fond of me. Good. I’m glad I can still baffle you,” she teased gently. Artemis smiled as she set the care box down on the end of the bed. “Oh well glad I’m good for something,” she quipped as she slid into the bed next to him.

“That’s because I was paid.” He replied in a straight tone, but soon laughed, joking with her. “Well Doris and I are going to have a very long conversation.” He half joked with a smirk. Looking to the box at the end of the bed, Ryan looked to her with an amused smile, “You still have that bear?”

Artemis raised an eyebrow at him. “Just so you know, the kind nurse named Doris in the lobby knows full well that I’m here. Being sweet and innocent has always served me better than sneaking,” she said playfully. “I’m pretty sure it was me when my parents forgot my birthday or Christmas.”

“You’re understanding in like…. Twenty minutes or less I’m going to be a big ball of grossness, right?” Ryan laughed. “Doris, eh?” He’ll have to remember that. “That still baffles me honestly. But,” Ryan scooted over on the surprisingly warm bed, “Since you’re here you may as well be useful.” He joked, patting the space next to him.

Artemis had quickly figured out what room he was in. A sheepish smile and an innocent look had allowed the nurse to let her in even though it was past visiting hours. Even if she didn’t stay, she wanted to bring him some things; some movies, an extra blanket, the bear she had insisted they make together at Build A Bear. “You never one for the sympathy looks. Though I do recall you gave a few.”

As Ryan had said it was the red hair that gave her away, and he made sure to make her known to the fact that he caught her. The impassive ‘I caught you’ look on his face. “I gave a few sympathetic looks to whom, I may ask?” he laughed.
