Hi everyone! Things are always changing on booklr so im not sure how many of you remember me buttttt I thought I’d give a mini explanation for my hiatus from tumblr, blogging, and reading in general. I’ve been really busy with my job and trying to gather up enough credits to graduate high school by may 20th. I’ve also gone through a lot of personal things like having my heart really broken for the first time and struggling with moving on from that. It all sounds like a silly reason to give up such a big part of my life, like reading and blogging, but to be honest no book has interested me either. My whole life I’ve loved reading, but I think my interests changed a few months ago and although I tried forcing myself to continue loving reading, I mostly was doing it because I loved talking to you guys, and I still miss that aspect of it, but I really just don’t think I care to sit down and read a book. I also was beginning to get tired of the drama going down in booklr, but drama is everywhere. It just started making me sad to log onto my “happy place” only to see someone getting attacked over their opinions. Hopefully things have changed while I’ve been gone and that’s no longer an issue.
If you’re reading this you’re probably thinking “so if shes still not reading why is she posting on her book blog”. Well today I checked goodreads out of the blue for some reason and I was shocked to see you guys were still continuing my book club I started last year. Like I’ve said before, the people I’ve met through here are absolutely amazing and even though I dont have a desire to read, I’m so happy you guys can all still bond through thatonereader’s book club. I felt I just owed an explanation to all the friends I’ve made on here. Maybe one day my interests will shift back to reading or maybe I’ll add it to my growing list of current interests. However, for now I’m saying a formal goodbye to booklr. It’s been an amazing experience and I’ll never forget the joy it brought me fangirling with everyone over our love for stories <3
