okay but think about the fact that he’s running a freaking con and NEVER considered using his knowledge of how Anastasia escaped the palace to his advantage.  He could’ve brought any girl this far, and with that detail she’d be more convincing than anyone short of the real Anastasia.  Hell, there’s the off chance Anya’s grandmother would’ve given him the reward even if she found out because it’d be a dick move but he saved her life.  But no, he kept quiet – never told anyone what he did, never said a word about how he saved them.
