Vivi slams her hands down on her desk with sparkles in her eyes.
"We need to prepare for Halloween~!"
Not only is it exciting because you get to dress up, eat candy, and watch scary movies with friends the witching hour after Halloween was always eventful!
Vivi frowned hearing the cry. Before she could ask if he were okay some old lady was at the door. Actually, Karamatsu had a resemblance to her, was she his mother?
Either way she looked hopeful. Blathered something about one of her sons finally meeting a girl and she may have heard something about grandchildren. Wait what?
Though she didn’t have a second to respond before being pulled into their home.
Well then…
In the mist of having a brief introduction and being pulled into the house, Vivi didn’t seem to hear the sextuplet shout that he wasn’t available.
Vivienne guesses she’ll just find him, that cry didn’t sound like he was okay at all.
“Uh, hey dude? Is something wrong? I’m pretty sure I heard you scream just a minute ago.” She said, knocking gently on the screen door.
When his ears couldn’t pick up Vivi’s voice anymore, Karamatsu let out a soft sigh of relief. Maybe she left? He really hope she did—this was embarrassing enough by itself, he didn’t need to have people see how fucked over he was…
Once he felt that his legs weren’t going to give in, Karamatsu stood up, about to leave the living room to clean up in the bathroom…
—before he heard Vivi knock and call out for him.
Karamatsu literally flew back with a shriek, landing none-too-gently on his ass.
“I-I’M FINE!” He cried out, then winced at his own volume. “I-I mean—I’m perfectly fine, my dearest friend! I-I just, ah—stubbed my toe! Even I can make mistakes too, h-heh—”
He gulped.
"Did I come in at a bad time? I'm not sure, but some lady just let me in. Is she your mom?"
Vivi flinched at the loud thud then fixed her glasses curiously.
"You sure? Sounded like you fell down or something..." she asked with a frown.

Karamatsu failed to stifle another sharp cry as his legs buckled underneath him. Just as he finally stood up, just as he was about to hide in a closer and try to plug his ears in, people just had to start noticing him, now.
His ears rang, but after a few moments of panting and recollecting himself, Karamatsu shakily shouted, “I-I’m n-not free right now—!”

What was that? It was a shout from below Karamatsu's window. The voice was quite loud and clear, such a voice can only come from Vivi.
"KARAMATSUUU-~! HEY YOU THERE?" Came the cheerful shout.
Oh she hoped he wasn’t going to pull a Arthur and scream then run away.
“Nope. ” she sighed.
More like who was that. Don’t worry I know who it is.“ Vivi said, her kind expression now annoyed.
“Um, because that is a ghost. Just, I’ll explain when we step out. Don’t be scared I know him.” She pinched the bridge of her nose. “I’m dating him after all.” She mumbled, tugging the male outside with her.
It was already dark out so that would help Lewis to come out easier without being caught so that’s good. There also didn’t seem to be a person in sight either so the coast was clear.
“LEWIS!” she yelled.
She was not happy at all, her voice indicated that quite well.
There was a moment of silence before she spoke up again. “Do NOT act like you’re not there! I started a business on the supernatural, I know DAMN well you’re there!”
The second pause did not last long as a flare of pink flames revealed a tall skeletal man with a glare fixed upon his skull…Though that form didn’t last long when Vivienne glared harder at him. His own glare dropped to some sort of fear or guilt before there was another flare of fire and he looked like a normal guy…Though his intimidating demeanor was gone completely. He gave a nervous grin, a big hand rubbing the back of his neck.
“Hello. Vivi, swee-”
“Lewis.”
The male bit his tongue, he knew sweet talking her when angry was not the right thing to do…at all. But for some reason he did anyway. Bad move…
“Lewis what the hell?! We’ve talked about this about a million times! I’m tired of having to scold you like you’re three! Christ–! You scared the shit out of Karamatsu!” She snapped, pulling her arm out of the smaller male’s grip before wrapping it around his shoulder as a better form of comfort.
Lewis looked like a kicked puppy when being scolded. He leaned away slightly, his eyes looking everywhere but Vivi? And his shoulders sagged a little.
“Ah…Forgive me for frightening you. I,” he sighed, a bit embarrassed to admit his silly fault. “I’m a bit too… protective .” He muttered.
It—wait, it was a ghost?
She was serious?
For a few moments, Karamatsu’s expression completely blanked out.
…okay.
Okay, that wasn’t so strange. Karamatsu’s seen stranger things—a ghost wasn’t completely implausible.
He really hoped it wasn’t a scary ghost…!
Karamatsu jumped when Vivi yelled (Lewis? Another nice name…! He liked how that one sounded), then waited with anticipation and bated breath…
The flare of bright pink flames that combusted in midair was shocking, and the appearance of the skeletal man, however short, startled Karamatsu badly. It was a wonder how he managed not to scream and cower more behind Vivi.
But when Lewis transformed, Karamatsu found himself staring in awe.
He was just as good-lucking as Vivi, holy shit. These two were like—the ultimate power couple or something. Plus, he didn’t look scary at all in this form, save for his generally enormous size and height.
“A-ah—” Karamatsu chuckled nervously and took a step away from his hiding spot—which was, of course, behind Vivi’s back. “I-it’s okay! I was not too frightened—a tough, cool guy like me can’t get scared that easily!”
Wow.
“But actually, I apologize too—if I had realized I was overstepping boundaries, I wouldn’t have flirted with Vivi.”
Did he really just call himself a tough cool guy after hiding behind a woman much shorter than him? Lewis managed to hold back a chuckle and just smiled instead.
Vivi's temper seemed to calm down and her glare lessened.
"Ah, it's fine Karamatsu. I shouldn't have overreacted. I should have just spoken to you instead of what I did."
To shake off the moment, Lewis cleared his throat and moved forward. He extended a hand that might as well been a giant bear paw for a shake.
"How about a proper introduction? I'm Lewis."
Vivi's demeanor seemed to completely change now. She liked what she was seeing and gave a small smile.
After a moment the shop's owner peeked out at the group and yelled. It was hard to understand what he was saying because the small man spoke too fast, though from the bits Vivi heard it was something about payment.
"Uh...I think we got put out for not paying..." Vivi mumbled.
Vivi simply chuckled, believing the other. Though she’d probably find out the lie a bit later since she tends to show her physical affection a tad roughly.
She really hoped he believed her, Vivi knew Lewis isn’t fond of people he’s not close to figuring out he’s basically dead.
Ah, no man its fine. I should have told you earlier. It’s nice to be complemented by others, you made my day better actually.“ She hummed.
The woman adjusted her glasses and leaned in a bit, obviously very interested in what Karamatsu had to say but jumped at his sudden shout and fall.
Okay yeah, Lewis probably decided to eavesdrop.
Vivi sighed, annoyance growing on her face once she started to hear a soft chuckle.
“Okay, I and somebody else have some explaining to do..” she seemed to growl the mention of another person as she helped Karamatsu up. “I’m sorry, he can be a bit of a baby sometimes.” She muttered, mostly to herself.
“Would you mind stepping outside right quick for this? You’re not gonna get hurt, I just don’t feel like freaking more people out than I need to.”
“Wh-wh-what?” Karamatsu squeaked and stammered, his previous demeanor of ‘coolness’ completely gone. His shades were going askew, and Karamatsu wouldn’t stop clinging onto Vivi in fear.
“S-somebody touched the A-AC?” He asked hopefully, knowing full that wasn’t the answer.
Karamatsu bit back a whine.
“…I-I don’t mind going outside. B-but Vivi—wh-what was that?”
His hand clutched onto the sleeve of her sweater, knees knocking together.
“V-Vivi,” He whispered. “I-it felt like a gh-ghost or spirit w-was breathing down m-my back!”

The short and slightly pudgy woman sat behind the counter of the book store and sighed. The feline ears that sat on top of her head were perked upright even though her facial expression seemed to be apathetic, though her face never shown her real feelings too well.
An ear twitched at the sound of the door opening.
"Hello, how are you doing today?" She asked, her voice flat but it was obvious she wasn't actually disinterested.

Vivi’s smile faltered and she gave a guilty laugh.
“Sorry about that dude. I didn’t mean to hit you that hard! Also, about that ‘dearest’ stuff. As mu- huh?”
At this point Vivi had gotten used to Lewis’ aura. Someone would have to point it out for her to notice. Though she didn’t want to scare the guy, but playing it off seemed like a slim chance.
“Uh, no? What are you talking about?” She asked, innocently.
Vivi did ask Lewis to meet up with her but she hoped he just didn’t eavesdrop the moment this dude started flirting with her because she knew how Lewis is. He’d get protective, then scare the poor guy.
“Anyway, about the ‘dearest’ stuff. As much as I like and appreciate it, I’m actually taken . But hey, I’d still like to get to know you better. So, tell me a bit about yourself. Who is cool guy?”
How Vivi bounces back from a moment like that so fast will always be unknown…Either way her grin was back and she started eating her noodles again.

Before he could even utter one word, Karamatsu shrieked and completely fell off his seat.
Somehow, his noodles managed to not get toppled over in the wild process.

Behind the counter, it looked like there was an outline of a rather tall and muscular man. Though that was just the trick of the eye, right? Maybe..
“It’s a pleasure to meet you too, my dearest Vi—oof!”

Small, blue, charismatic, and beautiful?
…she was amazing.
Karamatsu opened his mouth, about to say another overly elaborate comment on her beauty and strength—when the air suddenly bit him with chill and eeriness.
For a second, Karamatsu’s expression faltered.
“…V-Vivi, m’lady, did you feel that?”
Vivi's smile faltered and she gave a guilty laugh.
"Sorry about that dude. I didn't mean to hit you that hard! Also, about that 'dearest' stuff. As mu- huh?"

Did Karamatsu warn a new nickname? Yep, with those shades and his confidence Vivi found this to be the perfect nickname for the man.
“Ah, Vivi! What a beautiful name! Fitting for a beautiful lady such as yourself!”
When Vivi took out her chopsticks and started to eat, Karamatsu got his own pair and followed suit. Admittedly, though, he was focused more on talking than eating, really.

Vivi had just came back from visiting her grandmother, whom had droned on about her witch craft and such with fondness. Her grandmother was the reason why Vivi came to pay her a visit in Japan, she had some supernatural sightings she wanted to share with Vivienne.
Well now that the visit concluded, the woman went along to find somewhere to eat before meeting up with her gang again.
She had found a shop that sold ramen and ordered a bowl (with extra meat of course).
Though….Before she started to eat this guy with a bowl cut started talking to her then that dissolved into over the top flirting. What he said was not vulgar in any way, it was just…cliché. Painfully cliché at that.
Vivienne kept a smile though, but it might have been a bit of an awkward grin.
“Heh, whoa hey dude…Wanna slow down first? I didn’t even get to tell you my name.” She said with a chuckle.
“Ah—! My bad! I’m very sorry, my lady—I was so taken by your beauty that I accidentally let myself get carried away! But, alas, that is no excuse, so I deeply apologize for my forwardness.”
He didn’t want to scare the pretty stranger away, after all.
“May I ask for the name of such a lovely lady as yourself?”
Karamatsu didn’t usually come to this part of town to eat lunch, but he had been feeling adventurous that day.
His own dish—a ramen bowl with vegetables and tempura—arrived shortly afterwards.
