Don’t mean to bother, but I wanted to ask if you are going to update the Marigold story 🤔 it’s soo good and I’m really hooked to it, can’t wait to read the next chapter!
Anyways, thank you so much for writing it. Have a great day!
hi my love! i've been alright what about you? and you're not being a bother at all! for the past few weeks i've noticed that my motivation and inspiration to write has seemingly depleted so i've decided to take a break from writing for a bit. i hope to get back to it soon especially marigold because that's my favourite series that i've written. thank you for the support i truly appreciate it! sending much love ❤❤❤
writers block is killing me right now. i have so many ideas and requests that i want to write, but every time i sit down to do so my motivation drops. also comparing how much i wrote last summer is making me feel like a failure since i was posting left and right and now i can’t even finish a single fic. anyways thanks for coming to my ted talk and hopefully i can get out of this funk soon.
Hey, I just remembered that I rq a second part to Lake Chelan and was wondering how you're doing? Both in general and on the story. Is it still in the works or...?
hey love! i'm doing well wbu? and it's still in the works i just haven't been really focusing on it as i have been quite fixated on outer banks and writing fics for that!
I have one question... WHY CAN'T Y'ALL RESPECT DREW? Y'all treat him like dirt and then are like "aw :( i miss Drew where is he?" You stalk him and his family, you CONSTANTLY accuse him of shit (ie being a trumpie, a racist, ect.) when you know damn well none of it is true, and you take advantage of him and his kindness. What's it gonna take for him to feel comfortable around us again, if anything? I truly wouldn't even blame him if he were to just never talk to us or post anything again. I now understand why he never uses his platforms. Also, as for the mf bitch who threw the water bottle at him i swear to god you mf if i ever find you it's so far on fucking site. I'm so not playing these god damn games. He is a fucking human being just like the rest of us, fucking treat him like one. fuck y'all for real.
could you write something with rafe where he is stressed out with things from his dad, like the fights about him not taking care of the backup generators. so y/n takes care of it behind his back after he opens up about it and when ward thanks rafe for taking care of it he’s surprised but knows you had to have done it, and he’s super relieved and thankful and just some fluff please :)
Back Up Generators
Summary: A thoughtful act meant the world to Rafe and he wanted to make sure you knew how thankful he was.
Word Count: 969
Sorry this took so long to write! I hope you guys like it nonetheless.
"Hey pretty boy." You say looking up from your spot in your garden as your boyfriend, Rafe gets off of his bike and walks over to you.
"How did you do it?" He asks once he was finally standing in front of you.
You brush some hair out of your face that was sticking to the sweat on your forehead, "How'd I do what?"
"How’d you get the back up generators for us?” It was currently the day after hurricane Agatha hit and the first time Rafe has seen you since.
A small smile crosses your face as you begin to stand up from your uprooted flowers and willingly grab ahold of Rafe’s outstretched hand. “I guess you can say I worked my magic.” You saying shooting a wink to your boyfriend.
“How did you know it was me though?”
Rafe lets out a chuckle. “They were delivered just hours before the storm and you were the only one I told about how much shit I was going to be in since I didn’t order them.”
“See talking about your problems can have good outcomes.” You joke, stepping up onto your tippy toes and placing a soft kiss on Rafe’s cheek, causing the skin to turn a light shade of red. It truly meant a lot to him that you were there for him 24/7 despite all of his baggage. Not only did you have his back, but because of your caring actions he was now on good terms with his dad and a huge weight was lifted off of his shoulders. He could always count on you to save the day.
You pull away from him and kneel back down in front of your garden. Rafe looks around your yard and is quite impressed with how well of a job the cleaning crew did. They worked a lot faster to get to your house than his. In fact, it didn’t even look like there was a storm other than for your ruined flowers. As he looks around his line of vision lands on his bike, an idea popping into his mind.
“Y/N.” He says causing you to look up at him with your hand covering your eyes from the sun. “Do you want to take my bike for a spin?” He asks a smiling growing across his face at your reaction.
Instantly your eyes light up and you jump up from your position on the soft grass. “Is that even a question? Move over Cameron.” You say moving past your boyfriend and making a b-line towards his bike which was where the generator money actually went to. Ever since Rafe got it you begged him to allow you to go for a test drive, but the stubborn boy wouldn’t allow you to put his new prized possession in potential danger. Irony of it being your dad had a successful motorcycle part business, meaning you knew how to ride bikes better than Rafe.
“Keys.” You say your hand outstretched towards Rafe who walked over to you. The brunette simply laughs at your excitement and places the keys into your hand. Without wasting another second you lift your leg over and hop on, putting the keys into the ignition right away.
“Woah woah woah. Hold on tiger.” He says stopping you from speeding off. You watch as he grabs his helmet and gently places it over your head. As he does so he leans closer to you to adjust the chin strap causing your heart to race at the proximity of your boyfriend and the smell of his cologne.
“Ready?” He asks pulling away and looking down at you.”
Playfully you roll your eyes before smiling back at him. “Duh.”
Without another word Rafe turns down the visor on the helmet and with that you were off down your driveway and down your suburban street. You let out a scream of excitement causing the smile on Rafe’s face to only grow even more as he watched.
Swiftly you speed up and down the street blowing a kiss to Rafe every time you pass him which only made his heart full and love for you stronger. After a few minutes of your joy ride you make your way back to your driveway where Rafe stood watching you in amazement.
Now that you had your fun Rafe expected you to park and get off. Yet you continued to press down on the gas. Though this time you sped by your boyfriend around in circles. A boisterous laugh falls out of your mouth as you do so and Rafe’s heart skips a beat at the sound he oh so loved.
Your donuts around the boy you loved most slowly come to a stop as the world around you started to become dizzy from your fast spinning. Coming to a stop beside Rafe you kick down the kickstand and park while taking off the helmet.
However, you didn’t realize how dizzy you truly were making you sway back and forth a bit. Before you could stumble off of the bike or take it down with you Rafe quickly steady’s you, his hands flying to your waist.
You look up into his concerned blue eyes and suddenly the dizzy sensation disappeared. Quickly you glance down towards Rafe’s lips then back up towards his eyes. Although you two have been dating for a year and a half you both still felt the butterflies that erupted in both of your stomach’s the night you two first met.
Silently agreeing on what was going to happen next Rafe slowly leans in and eliminates the space between you two. The kiss was short, yet passionate and sweet. Pulling away from each other you both look at each other in mutual awe and pure amazement.
synopsis: a new girl moves to obx and both JJ and Rafe set their sights on her.
preview:
Once Y/N is gone, JJ’s smile drops, and he turns back to Rafe with a menacing glare. “Look, I don’t know what your game is here, but I really like Y/N. We both know you’re not her type. So do both of us a favour and leave her alone.”
And with that, JJ was gone too. Leaving Rafe alone.
Even with all these people in his house, Rafe never felt more alone.
my favourite pass time is reading angst fics when i’m about to get my period so i can cry like a little bitch so if anyone has good jj or rafe angst recs please let me know
I see I have a lot of new followers here and hi!! I also know there’s a lot of new Drew Starkey stans on this app, Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram. And I can’t even believe ima have to say this but, If you think it’s okay to be following & commenting on a celebrities parents & relatives accounts on Facebook (or any social media) and giving out their handles like it’s nothing please seek immediate help …. The way some of these new stans are completely invading drew and his families privacy is completely disgusting. Drew has said time and time again that he’s not a fan of social media and that he thinks the people who are doing these things to his friends and families are being really weird. But to all the people who are commenting on his parents facebooks and spreading their @s all over TikTok please learn how to respect peoples privacy.

summary: Much to his surprise, Rafe Cameron finds himself a little too interested in Y/n’s personal life after one overheard conversation.
Tanneyhill wasn’t your home - at least that’s what your parents always reminded you of - but you couldn’t resist spending most of the summer there with your best friend Sarah. Wheezie would sometimes join to watch a comedy with you or hear all the gossip around your lives, as younger siblings do.
And you had stories to tell.
Especially now that Sarah has been hanging out with John B for a while, planning to break up with Topper but never actually daring to, the drama was building up bit by bit. You weren’t saint either, hiding her fling from Topper. She hated when you referred to her favorite pogue as her sneaky link, assuring you nothing happened between them (yet?).
You couldn’t help but feel bad about keeping it a secret from Topper, you did consider him a good friend of yours. Though some of his decisions and actions were questionable, you knew that they might’ve been influenced by none other than Rafe Cameron.
Rafe was one of your closest friends too, you grew up around each other. You would hang out a lot when you were little, but then you drifted apart, Rafe preferring his «boys squad» and you making your girlfriends a priority as well.
As you grew up though, you noticed that back-and-forths was your only way of communicating with him. Despite calling him out on his shit all the time, you were never his target. Maybe somewhere deep inside he knew you were right, but he wasn’t the one to admit being wrong. Or it’s just that Rafe Cameron was stone deaf to any criticism of his behaviour or way of words.
Your relationship with Rafe worsened when he went to college. People could find it weird, if it weren’t for him messing up relationships with pretty much everyone over the past year. You could blame it on dropping out of college. The reason why you were sympathetic to him and let go of your mismatch is that he simply had too much on his plate.
But that’s what kook life is, right? Accepting people around you, good or bad. Just as long as their bank account matches yours, anyway.
This summer, when you weren’t sneaking out to the Cut to hang out with the pogues with your best friend, you would hang out with him and the kooks. Having each other around for most of your conscious life, you and Rafe were chill about one another. Besides a couple of moments here and there.
It was another day at your best friend's house. Sarah invited you to hang out (read: do nothing), as usual, and you agreed. At the moment, she was calling to order drinks and food for the party. Her throwing it was a secret from Ward, who was still at the house, about to leave for a business trip. Therefore, she was calling the delivery services from her room, leaving you alone in the backyard.
“Didn’t expect to see you there. Hope you tip well,” you heard the familiar voice.
Fuck, fuck, fuck, you thought. JJ Maybank was right in front of you, working around the yard, his hands on a lawnmower and his eyes on you. Of course, he was the one to never lose a chance to make good money, and Ward had a soft spot for the Cut kids specially.
Sarah wasn’t the only one getting to know the pogues this summer. You, in fact, had a little crush too. And a fling. And a one-night stand. And the biggest regret after it. All in the course of 48 hours.
You wouldn’t even look at him, raising your glasses off your nose a bit, looking down on your body. “I’ll think about it if you stop blocking the sun,” you said, putting your sunglasses back on and closing your eyes.
“What’s the point? You poured like half a bottle of sunscreen on you, the sun has more chances of getting Y/n’s exposure,” he said, sitting down to fix the lawnmower.
You didn’t answer, hoping the conversation would end there and you would both go on your merry way. And you promised yourself to keep it cool: you were somewhat interested in JJ, he moved on right after you slept together, as expected from a hookup. It was you who got it wrong, hurting your own feelings.
"Mama’s mad. Don’t bite my head off,” he shouldn’t have said that. At that point, there was no going back.
Rafe woke up at a usual time. His head was still spinning from the amount of alcohol he took over the past two days. Summer in the OBX was wild for both tribes. He went downstairs to get some food when he heard your voice and a voice he couldn’t recognize. The boy carefully opened a window in the kitchen without making a noise to understand what’s going on, still sleepy.
“How’s this girl, from yesterday’s party? I don’t remember her name, um...” you snapped your fingers.
“Oh, so that’s what it’s about? I slept with another girl and you’re mad?” JJ asked.
From that moment, Rafe was all ears.
“JJ, I am not your fan by any means, okay? You can sleep with whoever you want to,” you weren’t exactly lying, your crush was a little overblown by the alcohol and the adrenaline of being on the other side of the island. “That being said, it’s the timeline I have issues with. I sleep with you and hours later, I find out you sleep with someone else. Did you get a break? A good sleep?” you were sarcastic but it did the job of explaining your problem.
“It’s an ego thing then, or something?” he asked, leaving you confused. JJ Maybank met a million and one girl but still couldn’t figure them out?
“Next time you want to sleep with two girls in one night, warn me because I never signed up to be in a competition,” you said, sipping your iced coffee, which was now basically 90 percent warm water. You squinted at it, putting it back on the table.
“Sharing is caring, Y/n, girls supporting girls and all that,” he laughed and shook his head. “Quick question, would you be less mad if I slept with a guy?” JJ suggested and you zoned out for a moment, rethinking your attitude.
“Well no, that’s totally not the point,” you laughed, making JJ more comfortable.
“Now we’re smiling. Let other women, men and me be, you gatekeeper!” You both chuckled.
“We’re good, JJ, it’s just...” you paused to form a thought, “it’s just that it was a crazy night for me, you know. You don’t owe me anything, I don’t want you to think I’m crazy.” Forming a thought? Failed.
“Oh, I do think that. A good kind of crazy, though,” he replied.
JJ was smart enough to not bring up Sarah and John B into the conversation. You had an agreement to not talk about the Sarah and John B thing anywhere, the Chateau being the exception. You exchanged a couple of words with JJ, he then left you to finish working.
Rafe stood there completely shook. He never saw it coming from you of all people. You’ve never been around pogues, if anything, it was someone like Kie who had their foot in both worlds.
Y/n hanging on the Cut. Y/n and JJ Maybank. This is not a dream. Good morning, Rafe Cameron.
—
The party started at about 10 pm, taking place only outside the Camerons' residence because Sarah said there was no way in hell she’d let the crowd inside her house to break the furniture and spill alcohol everywhere.
You hung out with Kelce, sitting by the drinks. You weren’t interested in speaking to anyone joining you and your already tipsy friend. You were a little drunk yourself, bored too. Sarah snuck out last minute, despite it being her idea to throw the party in the first place. That John B kid was blatantly stealing your BFF all the time.
You were getting tired of the repetitive conversations. Truthfully, you’d prefer kegger over the company of all your fellow Kook Academy attendees, Kelce being the only exception. Finally, you excused yourself and left the company. Getting out was your only wish at the moment. Was entering the house forbidden? Sure. Well, not for you.
The house was almost completely dark when you entered. You went straight into the kitchen to drink some water and recharge a little bit, all the socialization was draining your energy levels quickly.
You thought you heard some noise in the living room, but you convinced yourself it was coming from the outside. Then you heard a loud snort. Shit, here we go again, you thought. You coughed to let him know you were in the house.
The cough definitely stopped whatever he was doing in the next room. You walked toward the doorframe, leaning back on it, looking at Rafe Cameron trying to clean up the table.
“What’s up, Y/n? You don’t enjoy the party?” He leaned back on the couch, swiping his hand on his nose.
You looked blankly at the scene. It was quite dark to see anything, but you had a good idea of what was going on anyhow.
“Not sharing today?” It was a surprise he wasn’t running around trying to sell some to everyone at the party.
“Thought I’d give myself a rest today,” he knew you’d clown him for everything he would do, so he might as well play into it. “It’s a lifestyle, you wouldn’t get it.”
“Maybe you should get another hobby,” you were getting under his skin with all the judgment in your tone. You weren’t the one to shame anyone, but you had been concerned for Rafe lately.
“What would your recommendation be? Fucking around on the Cut? Shit, I’ll stick to mine.”
Touché. Rafe was mad. He got up and went to the kitchen, leaving you speechless by the comment. Only Sarah and the Pogues knew about your night with JJ, so him knowing this information threw you off for a second. You followed him to the kitchen.
“What do you mean, Rafe?” Maybe he didn’t mean it in a literal way?
“I thought your standards for dudes were higher, but Maybank is your all-time low,” he drank from the water bottle you opened before, putting it back in the fridge.
You weren’t hurt by his words. The resentment between the kook and the pogue boys started when they barely knew how to walk. What surprised you was how fast the gossip spread around.
“Down bad. How do you even know about this?” You asked, trying and failing to seem unbothered.
“Yelling about it loudly in my backyard isn't the brightest idea, and you know, you’re welcome all the time, but maybe wipe that dirt that you call a pogue on the mat before you come in.”
“Who of the less fortunate hurt you so much that you throw a tantrum every time you see one?” You sat on his kitchen counter, purple light from the party now shining on you through the window.
“No one, I prefer to do the hurting first. What did you forget on the Cut anyway? It’s weird to see someone like you macking on these weirdos,” he came closer to you.
You laughed, ignoring his question for obvious reasons. “Can I have an approved list of the contestants? I’m lost.” You took your phone from your pocket, opening the note app. “Contestant number one: Rafe Cameron. Instantly crossing him off,” you smiled.
“Damn, Y/n, what did I do?” he played along, taking the phone from you, uncrossing his name. He always played along.
“Guilty of eavesdropping, Sarah wouldn’t be a fan. Thank you, next,” you laughed.
“Cross Topper and Kelce off too, I’m not letting you hurt them, you’re a crazy lady,” he smiled and handed your phone back, your knee accidentally touching his torso.
“I wouldn’t go there though. You’re a brat,” he looked down on you, different this time. And you reciprocated the long stare, pulling him a bit closer to you. He put his hands on your waist. “Do you mind?” He asked.
“Mind what, bestie?” Rafe looked at you with a little smirk, his hair falling over his face a little. He moved even closer and pressed his lips agains yours, standing between her legs as you wrapped them around him. Rafe’s hands dropped to your thighs as yours were on his shoulders.
Loud door slam stopped whatever was going on between you two, then the lights were turned on in the entrance room. You quickly jumped off the kitchen counter, holding onto Rafe to not lose your balance. He murmured fuck to you, you motioned him to stay quiet.
“Yeah, but the hell you were all night?” That was Topper screaming.
And there she was, your best friend. Under fire for understandable reasons. “I was out with Scarlet. We went to get the wine she wanted”.
Liar. Scarlet wasn’t even friends with Sarah anymore, bold of Topper to assume you two had someone other than one another.
Sarah entered the kitchen, Topper following her. She stumbled a little bit at the sight of the figures of you and Rafe, not expecting to see anyone in the house, especially in the dark.
“Shit, didn’t hear you here,” she said and turned on the lights, visibly relieved at the fact that the conversation with Topper is now on hold.
“The hell you’re doing here? The party is outside,” Topper asked, his temper was still showing.
“Sarah, your party sucks,” Rafe said calmly, then stormed off out of the room without looking at you. Sarah only rolled her eyes at her older brother, following him with an annoyed look.
“Whatever. Y/n, you said you were going to stay the night, is it still on? Let’s make something to eat too, and preferably not go outside anymore. The party does kind of suck,” she shrugged her shoulders and went to the fridge.
“Top, are you staying? You can either help us cook or respectfully kick everyone out of the backyard because they get on my nerves,” you said, hugging your best friend Sarah from behind while she was looking for anything post-party appealing in the fridge.
That was a friend shield right there. You weren’t leaving Sarah’s side today. If he wanted to interrogate her, he would be to fight with her biggest advocate.
“Neither. I’ll go to Rafe. If he wants to scare off the crowd, we might just do that. I am so not in the mood though,” if looks could kill, Sarah would end her life right there, “but I can’t figure why. Goodnight, Y/N,” he quickly left the room.
Sarah signed loudly. “Shit, what would I even do if you weren’t there,” she hugged you back, smiling a bit because of the little date she had with her pogue boyfriend. “What were you doing there, again?”
You were questioning it too. “Drinking water to sober up a bit, Rafe was already in the house. He actually, um...” You didn’t know whether to tell her this, contemplating in your best friend’s arms.
“We had a fight with JJ about, you know... and he heard that,” Sarah’s mouth dropped. “We said nothing about you though, he has no idea, don’t worry.”
“Are you okay, bub? Do you like... like JJ or...?”
“I’m okay. I’m not in love, it’s not even a crush at this point. We made up today, we're good. It, in fact, might be an ego thing at the end of the day,” you replied with JJ's words and Sarah smiled at you.
“Girl, I can feed your ego! Everyone, here is the coolest chick in the OBX!” She exclaimed, and her voice echoed in a quiet house. You bet Topper and Rafe had heard that.
You were thinking about what would have happened if they didn’t interrupt you and Rafe for the rest of the night. The past week of going out with new people alone seemed a bit too much, but that right there was a cherry on top of things to overthink. Would you have stopped right there, laughing it off? Would he stop?
