Run Before You Crawl - OC/Endless fic--all of them. Some chapters deep, slow-updating but not on hiatus.

Bowling League of the Endless - Mortal!OC/Destiny fic. OC wants Destiny to have a better relationship with his family before OC dies, ropes Destiny into starting a bowling league.

Rest the Fibers - Daniel!Dream/Lucienne/Calliope fic. Lucienne is overworked and refusing to confront how much she's been through in the last century. Her partners have decided they are going to help her one way or another.

American Sandmen- Canon divergences abound. Multiple couples plotted: Lucienne/Anansi, Delerium/Ibis/Audrey, Dream/Lugh, and some more to be plotted; probably lots more to be plotted. I love a big, messy polycule that's as connected as it is draping and I intend to indulge myself. Shadow gets a fucking break. I've only watched Season 1 of AG and a few episodes of Season 2; might read the book eventually when I've got time. Any additional information I need will be taken from episode descriptions, but canon and I are not friends. (To be fair, Sandman canon and I also have a strained relationship. We are pals but not buddies.)

hey so i read part of the student's essay and i want to add a few things:

it was a 0 out of 25 points. that's not even a huge deal.

she only wrote 650 words.

the girl didn't do the actual assignment; she just wrote what she felt like and submitted it.

the class was a PSYCHOLOGY course yet her essay was about her religious beliefs and provided no citations or psychological basis. she simply insisted her argument was true because the bible supposedly says so.

her entire essay is a mindless rant about how strict gender roles must be upheld and trans people are "demonic"

her writing—and i cannot stress this enough—is on par with that of a child who doesn't want to do an assignment. it's so bad i genuinely thought i was reading a satire article.

the student is a fucking college JUNIOR writing like a 10-year-old. she is also a psychology MAJOR who thinks everything in the bible is literal and that her religion is the only source anyone needs. this is someone who intends to go into mental health care. she is dangerously bigoted and ignorant, and her professor saw this and was punished for grading accordingly.

here's a line from her essay:

"Women naturally want to do womanly things because God created us with those womanly desires in our hearts. The same goes for men. God created men in the image of His courage and strength, and He created women in the image of His beauty."

here's her teacher's reasoning for the grade:

“[I am] not deducting points because you have certain beliefs" but rather because the paper "does not answer the questions for this assignment, contradicts itself, heavily uses personal ideology over empirical evidence in a scientific class and is at times offensive."

the girl is a hate-filled bigot. she is a white christian girl who is now being championed by fox news and turning point usa while her professor sits on fucking forced leave. this is disgusting.

Reading the feedback of the teacher as well as the co-teacher, they calmly explained their reasoning for the 0 grade in a way that repeatedly said this girl was allowed to think what she believed, but that this paper simply could not be considered a completion of the assignment.

The fact that this teacher was put on suspension for failing a student who did not even meet the assignment and went out of her way to say the girl was allowed to believe what she believed is absolutely galling. This is an educational institution, and the fact that they are even considering disciplinary action against this teacher for attempting to teach?? Appalling. Absolutely beyond parody that this is where we are in this country.

1. The teacher who has been suspended is transgender.

2. Multiple teachers in the faculty room marked the paper. Only the transgender teacher has been suspended.

3. The student in question broke this story through the incredibly transphobic organisation Turning Point USA.

4. The student's mother has been posting hideously transphobic things on right-wing social media.

This isn't just conservative anti-intellectualism. This is weaponised, targeted transphobia.

i think its also very important to note that samantha fulnecky made academic honor roll at OU last year. people keep saying how stupid she is, which based off the essay absolutely makes sense, but i think its important that more people know this was a conscious effort on her part to produce a piece of work well below the standards of the course, inserting hateful rhetoric, for the sole purpose of getting a failing grade and getting this professor fired. this is not her being ignorant or stupid, this is a specific strategy to ruin a trans womans life and gain public notoriety to launch a right wing grifting career.

Source: have some cousins who raised cows for milk. Their milk was just boiled. The one they gave to me and my family was first watered down, then boiled.

Oh for sure. I had farm fresh milk a lot as a kid, AFTER it had been pasteurized and watered down. Uncut milk is ENTIRELY too rich, rather like drinking straight cream unless you're used to it.

Most people are used to 2% milk as the default, which is TWO PERCENT MILK FAT. Even whole milk isn't actually whole fat, it's under 4% iirc (been a while since I looked any of this up tbh might be off there).

Btw, you can filter wishes based on gender, age, price, etc to help you find the perfect wish for you. This charity is LGBTQ-affirming (unlike a lot of religion-based charities that are unfortunately homophobic), so you can even look for nonbinary kids to donate to.

Also, I would really encourage people to be open to granting wishes made by older foster kids (14+) or young adults who aged out of the system and still lack family support. They’re so often forgotten.

Just wanted to let my followers know that this organization is doing a big push to fill all their wishes today on Giving Tuesday. If every current wish is cleared, a donor has pledged to donate an additional $100,000 for future wishes.
